A huge part of surviving in Palworld is building a base or two, and these guidelines and locations make it easier to choose your home.

Smash hit Palworld is similar to Pokémon in some ways, but it differentiates itself from the classic role-playing series in its focus on survival, crafting, and building bases.

We’ve already looked into which Pals are best for the numerous jobs in your base, but exactly where should you build it in the first place?

There are lots of good options, but it’s important to follow a few guidelines to find the best base location you possibly can, if you’re just starting out or looking for a home for later in the game.

Best base locations in Palworld

When looking for the right real estate for your base there are a few things to consider, such as a large space on even ground, preferably in a high location and close to ore or coal.

This will set you up so that you can build a large enough base that’s also easily defendable, and will involve less travel time to farm the necessary ingredients for your base and weapons.

The Palworld island is very big, but here are a few suggestions to exactly where you should consider building your base, following the guidelines above.

Not far from the first spawn point you’ll find a damaged castle (coordinates 190, -380), which is made of stone. The valley close to itleads to an ore deposit, too, so you can turn your ore into ingots for crafting metal weapons.

You can live in the castle, which is pretty cool, and it’s a great option for early game, although it’s not exactly brimming with Pals around that area.

The next spot we’d suggest checking out is the Cinnamouth Forest area, south on the map (-75, -272), and not very far from the spawn point either.

This is a good place to build a base because it has slightly higher level Pals (15 and above) and the landscape is nice and flat.

There’s also lots of wood and sulphur (needed to make gunpowder) around, for when you eventually want some stronger weapons.

Once you’ve progressed through the Technology Tree even further, and ore isn’t as useful anymore, Sealed Realm Of The Guardian (264, 64) is a great spot to make a new base.

It’s located north on the map and is rich in coal, which is what you’ll need lots of as you progress in the game and need higher calibre guns and spheres.

The Palworld island is so big that as long as you follow the guidelines you’ll find somewhere decent, though. But those three locations are some of the best for early and late game.
