It has been nearly three years since the release of Squid Game and now, finally, Netflix has shared a first look trailer for season 2.

Fans of Hwang Dong-hyuk’s dystopian drama have been clamouring for more since the first season became a surprise hit during lockdown, smashing streaming records at the time.

And now their wishes have been answered as Netflix shared a teaser clip of the follow-up and, while it only lasts 18 seconds, packs and punch and suggests and epic showdown.

In the trailer, Lee Jung-jae, who starred in the hit show as Seong gi-hun – the lone survivor of the games – is seen with pink hair strolling through what looks like a train station.

By an ominous voice speaking to him on the phone, he’s heard being told: ‘You’ll regret your decision.’

Looking menacing, Seong refuses to back down and replies: ‘I will find you. No matter what it takes.’

More to follow.
