I’m ditching Primark, their prices are criminal – one pair of pyjamas cost me £20 & the quality isn’t even good

PRIMARK is one of the nation’s best loved clothing stores, and stocks everything from the latest fashion trends to stylish homeware.

However, one shopper was unhappy with a recent trip to the store, after the clothes she purchased ended up being far more expensive than she predicted.

Lills shared her annoyance via a video posted to her TikTok channel @lileviex.

She often uses the channel to post her latest charity shop and fast fashion hauls.

The TikToker’s videos are very popular with social media users and she has racked up 47,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

In a recent video, Lills said: “Why is Primark so expensive now?”.

She then showed viewers a Primark carrier bag and showed viewers what she had purchased.

“I went straight to the pyjamas section and picked up these gorgeous pyjamas she said”.

Lills showed the camera a cute pair of white pyjama shorts, adorned with adorable blue bows.

She then showed off the matching top, with had long sleeves and a white frill around the bottom.

Lills didn’t look at the price tag before putting the pyjamas in her basket.

When she got to the till, she expected the shorts to be around £5, but was shocked to discover they were £8.

“I’m not going to lie, the quality isn’t even that good”, she said.

Lills expected the top to be £6 “at a push” but was horrified to discover that it was £10.

“This is actually a big fat joke”, she said.

“£18 for a set from Primark is criminal behaviour”.

A Primark spokesperson said: ““We work hard to offer the best value on the high street, something we know is more important than ever to our customers right now.

“From our everyday essentials, through to our Edit range whichfeatures more premium fabrics and detailed designs, we are committed to offering great value across everything we sell.”

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.

One user said: “Honestly, the quality used to be fine for the price before but now it’s way too expensive.”

Another user said: “Primark prices break my heart nowadays”.

A third user added: “I bought two pairs of pjs from Primark yesterday and cost me £44.”
