‘Primark is getting expensive and ugly’ shoppers fume as people ‘pray’ the chain will ‘get better’ & ditch ‘ugly knits’

PRIMARK shoppers have been left totally fuming at the chain’s ‘new in’ items.

Joanna Georgina, a beauty lover and make–up artist, was left shocked at the huge array of ‘ugly knits’ and not only this, was not impressed with the cheap faux leather jackets either.

But if that wasn’t enough, the blonde beauty was also disappointed with the floral frocks and claimed that the sparkly dresses ‘shouldn’t have been made’.

Posting on social media, Joanna took her followers around her local Primark.

She wrote: “Primark finds January 2024 is here….We cannot call this a new in because there is pretty much nothing new in.

“January in the shops is never a good time is it, but this takes the [biscuit]…. The last couple of months I can’t find anything good. Let’s pray for February.”

As she then looked around at the clothes, she spotted a variety of jumpers, as she said: “We might as well get January’s trip to Primark right out of the way.

“I’ll just tell you this one in advance, it may even be worse than December.

“Queue the array of ugly knits.”

Not only was she not fussed by the knitwear, but she wasn’t totally sold on the gym wear, or the boiler suits too, as she added: “On to the gym wear. Do you know what? Some of the lounge and gym wear is not bad, it’s just, I don’t want to see gym wear as soon as I enter Primark.

“That boiler suit mechanic vibe thing is dreadful.”

Joanna then spotted a black, studded leather jacket, as she noted: “The studs. The cheap looking material. Primark, we know you have made jackets with decent looking faux leather before so why this?”

She was equally as unenthused by the floral dresses, as she shared: “The prints…the prints of some of these dresses, I don’t know where Primark are getting their inspiration from. It’s not the catwalk.”

Moving onto the accessories, Joanna was disgusted at the earrings, scarves and bags, as she explained: “There seems to be loads of massive hoops….

“These scarves are from Rita Ora. It’s giving if Beano was a girl.

“I don’t even know what to say about that necklace. Or this bag. It speaks for itself.

“I don’t know why they would make this bag out of faux pearls.”

Joanna then spotted another collection of bags, as she claimed: “These bags, I feel like they’re trying to be 1920s, they just didn’t pull it off.”

After this, the high-street shopper found sparkly dresses, as she added: “This should have been left at Christmas, in fact, it shouldn’t have even been made.”

Things continued to get worse as she spotted some orange trousers and burgundy blazers, as she concluded: “Why does this colour of trousers exist? Why?

“The cut of this blazer is not the one. Neither is the colour, neither is anything about it.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @joannageorginax, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 30,700 views.

But many social media users were equally as unimpressed with Primark’s 2024 offerings – and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Honestly praying for Primark to get better, I haven’t bought anything for months.”

To this, Joanna replied: “Hear our prayers Primark!”

Another added: “Primark is a joke now. Haven’t been since July to get bikinis for my holiday. Other than that and tights, I won’t be buying there anymore.”

In response, Joanna claimed: “I’m holding out hope for Spring.”

A third commented: “I can’t even bring myself to go in there at the moment. Seems nothing there for me.”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Primark is getting expensive and ugly.”

Despite this, one happy shopper penned: “I got sooooo much in Primark two days ago.”

A Primark spokesperson told Fabulous: “We work hard to offer the best value on the high street, something we know is more important than ever to our customers right now.

“From our everyday essentials, through to our Edit range which features more premium fabrics and detailed designs, we are committed to offering great value across everything we sell.”
