King Charles has received public messages from stars including Piers Morgan and Gary Lineker after his cancer diagnosis.

Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles, 75, has cancer, which was discovered after his recent surgery for benign prostate enlargement.

Buckingham Palace said in the announcement: ‘The King has been diagnosed with a form of cancer and has begun a schedule of regular treatments, and while he has postponed public duties he “remains wholly positive about his treatment.”’

Following the announcement, Gary wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that he was sorry to hear the news.

‘Really sorry to hear the news that King Charles has cancer. Awful news. Wish him a full and speedy recovery,’ the full message read.

Proud royalist Piers Morgan said: ‘Shocking news. I wish His Majesty a full and speedy recovery’, and shared plans to speak about it on his show TalkTV show Uncensored tonight.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has wished the King a ‘full and speedy recovery’ and said he will no doubt ‘be back to full strength in no time’ after Charles was diagnosed with a form of cancer.
