Wedding guest asks if figure-hugging dress is ‘too sexy’ & people are saying it ‘so hot’ she’ll rival the bride

IT can be hard to know what to wear to a wedding and many people are often reluctant to fork out for a new outfit for each event.

One wedding guest decided to try on a dress from her wardrobe for an upcoming occasion and asked if it was appropriate – and people didn’t hold back in the comments.

The woman showed herself wearing a lacy, floor-length maxi dress which had a high leg slit and a plunging neckline.

She wrote on Reddit: “I wanted to wear something elegant to a wedding, but still feel sexy.

“Would this dress fit the criteria?

“Or is it too much?”

The strappy gown was figure-hugging and the wedding guest finished off the look with some stilettos.

After posting the snap of her eye-popping dress, people were quick to chime in.

A number of Reddit users thought that the woman would be in danger of upstaging the bride if she selected it for the big day.

One person wrote: “You look absolutely sexy in that dress you would probably rival the bride.”

Another added: “You’d look hot in that dress.”

Meanwhile a third described it as “sensual.”

However, some people defended the outfit, with one saying: “Fits the brief like a glove.”

We previously shared how a wedding planner was fed up after noticing that four women showed up to a ceremony wearing white-hued dresses.

Her annoyance was so great that she couldn’t bite her tongue.

Wedding planner Cari Izaguirre said there is no reason for a guest to ever show up wearing the same colour as the bride.

Speaking about etiquette, she said in the clip: “You do not wear white to a wedding. Or a light ivory. You just don’t do it.”

Standing outside of a reception she organised, she said there were four people sporting looks that crossed the line.

This followed one wedding guest being slammed for wanting to wear a dress that was “too white”.
