Everyone will be rocking snooker chic this spring… the best celeb inspo & supermarket buys to jump on the trend
FASHION fans are already going big on a trend that is set to be huge this year.
Noughties fans will rejoice at its return and it’s something that everyone can wear.
GETTY, INSTAGRAMFrom the seventies to now, waistcoats have made a comeback[/caption]
In their heyday, style icons like Kate Moss championed the waistcoat.
Remember the black number that she wore to Glastonbury 2005 with micro denim shorts and wellies?
The look was replicated by boho-loving women across the country who wanted to be just like Kate.
And even before that, Princess Diana made waistcoats a must-have in the nineties, while Charlie’s Angels rocked them in the seventies.
But like all trends, the waistcoat was put to the back of the wardrobe when it fell out of favour and was reserved for blokes to wear on special occasions, like weddings or the races, for snooker players and Gareth Southgate.

But now the waistcoat is back again.
They crept back into the fold last spring with trend lovers teaming them with fluid, wide-leg trousers, in line with the pared-back style of the minimal nineties fashion trend.
And this year they’re already catching people’s eyes.
Here, Fabulous’ Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals who is doing it best and where to get the look for less.

British brand Aligne has given the sleeveless look an updated twist.
The style, which has been worn by This Morning host Rochelle Humes, 34, is called the “Leo Long Waistcoat”, and it still has all the characteristics of a traditional waistcoat – such as the button-down front and sleeveless silhouette – but has softer lines.
The brand has nipped in the waist and made the length longer so it flows over the hips into a curved finish.
It comes in three colours: black, yellow and metallic, and will set you back £119, but River Island is serving up some stylish dupes.
From pink to black and beigem the high street store has sleek styles in longline shapes just like Aligne, from £35.
But for those who prefer shorter styles, there are even chic knitted numbers from £30.
TescoF&F has a whole range of chic waistcoats in store now[/caption]

One TikTok user Meghan Seery (@meghanseery0) showed off Tesco’s array of waistcoats, among other new pieces, and said: “I’m so tempted to go back and get it in every colour!!”
