Paul Chuckle has heartbreakingly tried to reach out to the ghost of his late brother Barry, six years after his death.
In 2022, Paul revealed he saw Barry’s spirit winking at him and giving him a thumbs-up before his first-ever solo performance after his death.
He’s now revealed he finds comfort in knowing Barry is still with him, and in a new episode of Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted, is attempting to communicate with his late brother, with their infamous catchphrase ‘To me, to you’.
With the help of paranormal investigators, Paul discovers whether Barry’s ghost is around him, and whether there are more sinister forces lurking in his home after hearing some eerie sounds.
The 76-year-old, whose real name is Paul Elliott, is desperate for answers after experiencing paranormal activity in his Nottinghamshire barn since moving in 18 months ago with his wife of 36 years Sue.
‘We first move in, we heard a few creaks and noises, and just put it down to an old building,’ he begins.
‘There’s times where it sounds like there is a toilet flushing somewhere in the house, and there’s only me and Sue here!’
But that was just the beginning – what happened next was far more terrifying.
Once, Paul heard the faint sounds of footsteps and saw child-like handprints appear on the walls.

‘We hadn’t had any kids here, and up to then there had never been anything on that wall. It sort of made me feel a little bit spooky then; where has it come from?’ he says.
‘Since then, we’ve heard little footprints here and there, running around, chuckling – excuse the pun!’

One night, Paul saw a figure standing at the foot of his bed that looked like ‘a little kid’.
He reveals: ‘I opened my eyes again and it had gone. That was the most eery thing I’ve had here. That was awful, I hardly slept all night!’
And he wasn’t the only one, after a guest ‘swore blind that there was somebody there in the room walking backwards and forwards across the foot of the bed.’
Thankfully, no one has been hurt, but the haunting experiences have left Paul eager for answers, especially as he believes in spirits.
The TV star even feels Barry’s presence around him, saying: ‘He’s always around me, I’ve always felt that from the day he did.
‘Almost every night he’s in my dreams; it’s a nice comfort thought that my brother is around.’
But the investigators soon find out that it’s not Barry’s spirit haunting the house, it’s an infamous murderer named Charles Peace who terrorised the local area.
According to historical stories, Peace was maimed in an industrial accident as a child, and went on to become a burglar and murderer who eventually died by execution by hanging.
‘There’s a lot going on, I’m not going to lie to you,’ medium Ian Lawman tells Paul.

But the comedian is still hoping to discover if Barry is around him, using a recording device to try and reach out to his spirit.
Through white noise, they first hear one ghost swearing at them in the toilet where Paul has heard all the mysterious sounds.
He then asks if Barry is around him, saying: ‘Barry, are you here today?’
‘To me, Barry. To me,’ he attempts. ‘To you, then.’
Will the team uncover who has been haunting Paul’s home, and will they connect Paul with his beloved late brother Barry?
