A WEDDING guest has had her fingers burnt and ego bruised after she shared her dress on Reddit.
There wasn’t much love for this fashion item, which left little to the imagination, according to Redditors.

She had chosen the floor-length gown for the semi-formal beach ceremony in Cancun.
The photos, modeled by a professional, were shared with her post.
The multi-colored, tie-dyed effect number, had a cleavage that plunged almost to the naval, with added cut-outs exposing even more flesh.
The back of the dress did little to cover her modesty either, and it has a thigh slit that reached to the very top of her leg, completing this racy look.
Commenters were unified in their opinion that it showed more skin than was decent.
It was, said one Redditor, just “attention-seeking.”
The guest started her post innocently enough but wasn’t prepared for the explosion.
“Wedding guest dress,” she said. “The wedding is on a beach and the dress code is semi-formal. Any thoughts/suggestions?”
Their views were summed up by one colorful comment.
“Way too much skin. It looks like something Aphrodite would have worn on Hercules or Xena. It’s a costume with those straps leaving nothing to the imagination.”
Another Redditor figured the dress was okay, but not for a wedding.
“It’s a party in Cancun dress, not a go to a wedding in Cancun dress.”
It was a sentiment repeated by another person.
“Entirely inappropriate. More for like a vacation/resort vibe. And yes, though the wedding is on a beach, you will be dressed more for a party on the beach.”
Rein it in, pleaded this commenter: “This is wildly inappropriate for a wedding. That slit, all the skin, just no. Please don’t embarrass yourself or the bride by wearing this.”
Look for something a bit more demure, suggested one person.
“Way too revealing in my opinion. If it just had the deep V, the high slit, or the open back, it would probably be fine, but it has all three.”
But there was a rather dramatic opinion from another person: “This is ok if the wedding is in Tulum, jungle side, led by a faux hippy shaman and all the guests are on ayahuasca.”
After listening to all their opinions, the wedding guest had a change of mind.
“Now that I’ve received all sorts of overwhelming hate for the dress it’s back to searching again,” she said.
