WWE superstar Tyler Bate has proven that Big Strong Boi is more than just a cute nickname.
The former NXT United Kingdom Champion recently made the jump up to the main roster as he joined longtime British Strong Style teammate Pete Dunne on SmackDown, and he’s wasted no time impressing fans.
On Friday night’s episode, Pete and Tyler teamed up to take on Raw tag team #DIY, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, with the winners facing tag champs The Judgment Day at Elimination Chamber: Perth later this month.
At one point during the hard fought and high stakes bout, Tyler hoisted Gargano on his shoulders for an Airplane Spin, while locking Ciampa by the legs in a giant swing.
The move got fans on their feet, and viewers at home were blown away by the amazing feat of strength.
‘Tyler Bate is hella strong #Smackdown,’ tweeted @RealJackCassidy, as wrestling news site Fightful wrote: ‘BIG STRONG BOI. Tyler Bate is AMAZING! #SmackDown’

‘Tyler Bate can do all these bouts of strength to levels of pure lunacy,’ added X user @IamTHeRealATG, while @RangoTheMerc said: ‘Tyler Bate with that crazy strength! #Smackdown’
‘Tyler Bate is definitely a big strong boy, that was insane! #SmackDown,’ wrote @SensesPunk, and fellow fan @LisaLockH204 enthused: ‘Tyler Bate is CRAZY strong! As expected, this match is 🔥🔥🔥🔥#Smackdown’
In an added bonus for the lads – who rose up from the midlands scene in the UK before taking the country and the whole wrestling world by storm – they won the bout against #DIY.
It means a stadium sized battle with Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor awaits in Australia on February 24, with their fellow Brits backing them to finally hold tag team gold together in WWE.

‘A lifetime of work was all coming together,’ he recently told Metro.co.uk about reuniting with Pete on SmackDown.
‘We both put a lot of pressure on ourselves with where we come from in representing British wrestling, and the style of British wrestling.
‘Taking that to the main stage feels like a huge responsibility. But I feel like we’re both nailing it… [I was] super proud of how it went. It couldn’t have been more ideal for me.’
WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth airs February 24 at 10am. Tune in via the WWE Network.
