Rapper and singer Bad Bunny was spotted engaging in some very un-rockstar-like behaviour as he was caught reading a book in a packed-out nightclub last week.

The Puerto Rican musician, 29, is most commonly known for hits like Yo Perreo Sola, La Romana and the number one hit I Like It, with collaborators Cardi B and J Balvin.

Hailed as ‘The King of Latin Trap,’ he is an icon among his adoring Gen-Z fanbase, affectionately known as ‘Los Conejos’ – or ‘The Bunnies.’

The rapper has recently gone viral after being spotted in a heaving nightclub… with his nose buried in a book.

This was shared by TikTok user @beezinmytims, who posted a video of the star flipping pages while partygoers danced all around him.

‘Why Bad Bunny reading at the club’ asked the TikTok user as the rap sensation apparently squinted to concentrate against the dim club lighting.

At the end of the clip, he appeared to finally look up from his book and take in his surroundings.

As the footage went viral on X, fans shared their thoughts on Bad Bunny’s strange behaviour.

‘He’s not like the other girls,’ joked @scammerswifts.

‘He’s actually so real for this,’ said @takecarehours.

‘I’m surprised he can even focus with the music blasting in his ears,’ added @arianaunext.

‘You can never skip literacy day,’ @AStateOfPete commended.

‘He wants to be different so bad,’ said @imnotpopbase, somewhat less charitably.

Can a rapper not read a book in peace around here?

When not reading and clubbing (apparently at the same time), the star – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – is renowned for his colourful wardrobe and trend-setting fashion sense.

However, the flamboyant star has historically been less than forthcoming when it comes to his private life.

In 2023, he was spotted with Kendall Jenner in the front row at Gucci’s Milan Fashion Week, fuelling rumours of their romance.

The pair had tongues wagging, but refused to confirm or deny whether they were dating. ’I’m not really interested in clarifying anything because I have no commitment to clarify anything to anyone,’ he told Vanity Fair.

‘I am clear and my friend Jomar is clear and my mother is clear. They are the only ones to whom I have to clarify anything.’

‘As for Juliana Dominguez from Mississippi I have nothing I need to clarify to her. Never. About anything,’ he added, appearing to pluck a random name as an example.

However, it was later reported by People that the pair split in December 2023, months after Kendall, 28, supported Bad Bunny at SNL.
