Taylor Swift declared an ‘icon’ after being filmed chugging a beer on Super Bowl big screen-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

Taylor Swift has been celebrated after pulling off an epic Super Bowl performance of her own after chugging a beer in one go.

Overnight the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 to win their third Super Bowl in five years.

Watching on in the stands were countless celebrities, including Taylor, 34, who was there to support her boyfriend, Chiefs player Travis Kelce, also 34.

Clearly in a celebratory mood, Taylor downed her drink after realising she was being filmed for the stadium’s big screen.

During the first half of the game, Taylor and her friend, designer Ashley Avignone, wasted no time chugging their drinks.

As soon as she was finished, the singer slammed her empty cup in victory.

Soon after many people shared their admiration for her efforts.

Posting the video on X, the NFL’s official account simply wrote: ‘Icon.’

‘Taylor Swift chugging a beer on the scoreboard, she is one of us,’ Suzie Hunter shared.

‘Taylor Swift + Beer Chug = not on my bingo card,’ Dominic White posted.

As Courtney Howard added: ‘Taylor Swift chugging a beer on the Jumbotron is pure game day energy.  I can only hope it was followed by a good belch.’

The singer has been dating the footballer since last summer, with the couple going public in September.

She cheered him on during the game alongside her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, her brother, Austin Swift and members of her boyfriend’s family.

Other famous faces in the box included Blake Lively and Ice Spice.

After much speculation about her tight schedule, Taylor made it to Las Vegas after performing a show in Tokyo the night before.

Flying a private plane across nine time zones to make the match, she’s now on her way to Australia to perform seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
