Melissa McCarthy has sent fans into a spin as she unveiled her weight loss transformation to celebrate her guest role on season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The actress, who stole the show in the Little Mermaid, Bridesmaids and Mike & Molly, was a human glitterball as she rocked up to a watch party for the latest episode of the competition.

Taking to Instagram, the 53-year-old gave us a glimpse into the bash, donning a stunning sequined jumpsuit for the occasion, complete with a bright pink sequined jacket and chunky jewelry.

Side note: Only Melissa McCarthy can pull off that many sequins and still look seriously chic.

Alongside the stunning snap, she wrote: ‘Coco Chanel once said “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.” I am not Coco Chanel. I say PILE ON

Followers couldn’t get enough of the upload and quickly flooded the comments section with praise for the Spy star.

Another agreed: ‘QUEEN! You look incredible as always!’

A commenter praised: ‘It’s giving hourglass, it’s giving boss b***h, it’s giving powerful, it’s giving businesswoman, it’s giving snatched waist, it’s giving glam, it’s giving royalty, it’s giving sparkle, it’s giving A-List, it’s giving these boots are made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do and one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you [sic].’

As a social media follower added: ‘Wow just wow you look fantastic, but then again I always thought no matter what weight you were you always looked fantastic.’

Melissa has been candid about her weight loss in the past, revealing that she dropped 70lbs in just a few months in 2003, after embarking on an all-liquid diet – something she vowed she would never do again.

Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2017, the mom-of-two shared that she ‘worried about weight too soon’, as she recalled thinking she ‘battled weight throughout high school’.

‘I look back at pictures of me as a cheerleader, doing sprints, lifting weights, doing gymnastics, playing tennis, and while I wasn’t reed-thin like some girls – we’re so f***ed up in this country that somehow equates that with better – I was a size six the entire time,’ she said.

‘So what on Earth was I freaking out about? Like, I would kill, absolutely kill, to look like that now.’

Discussing how moving to LA changed her, the Hollywood icon added: ‘I stopped walking and ate s****y food. I was in good shape, then suddenly I gained 25lbs, like what the f**k? And then after my second kid, I haven’t lost any, because I’ve been working every day of my life.

‘But it wasn’t like I ever wanted to play the stunning-girl lead part who just says 17 dry lines. That didn’t seem like fun to me.’
