WWE WrestleMania 40 gets major overhaul with ‘first of its kind experience’-Alistair McGeorge-Entertainment – Metro

WWE has given the WrestleMania week schedule a massive boost with the announcement of an interactive fan experience in Philadelphia.

Officially dubbed WWE World at WrestleMania, the five-day event – running from Thursday, April 4 through to the end of play on Monday, April 8 – is bringing another layer to the Showcase of the Immortals.

The biggest wrestling weekend of the year is already heating up with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Rock all set to be in action.

Combining aspects of the previous Fan Axxess events and last year’s WrestleMania Superstore, WWE World is part of a partnership with Fanatics Events.

The special event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center will feature ‘a variety of immersive experiences for fans’, including a main stage hosting roundtable discussions with top WWE Superstars.

Also set to feature at WWE World are a WWE 2K24 gaming tournament as well as live podcast recordings, and live memorabilia and autograph sales through Fanatics Live.

There will be plenty of exclusive merch, autograph sessions and meet-and-greets with big name WWE stars and legends from the past, plus ‘immersive exhibits and memorabilia honoring WrestleMania’s 40-year history’.

WWE has also promised ‘the largest WWE Superstore in WrestleMania history’, although it’s not yet clear if fans will be able to get into the store without tickets to WWE World as a whole.

‘Fanatics has a phenomenal ability to customize offerings for fans and we’re excited to partner with them on this first-of-its-kind experience for the WWE Universe at WrestleMania XL,’ commented Scott Zanghellini, WWE Co-Head of Revenue Strategy & Development.

And Lance Fensterman, CEO of Fanatics Events, added: ‘Fanatics Events is thrilled to partner with WWE to host our debut event, WWE World at WrestleMania.

‘Through unique content, Superstar access and immersive experiences, we look forward to curating a captivating event for all fans who are in Philadelphia for WWE’s marquee event.’

So far, the only matches officially confirmed for WrestleMania 40 is Cody Rhodes facing Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship, and Bayley challenging Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Title.

Tickets for WWE World at WrestleMania will go on sale this Thursday, February 22 at 10 a.m. ET, ranging between $30 and $300.
