Pentiment and Grounded have been officially announced for Nintendo Switch, with more Rare games coming to Nintendo Switch Online.
Only days after Microsoft confirmed four Xbox exclusives would be heading to other platforms, the first two games have been officially announced.
During Nintendo’s Partner Showcase, it was revealed that narrative adventure Pentiment will be released on Switch on Thursday, February 22. The game was originally released for PC and Xbox consoles in November 2022.
Obisidian’s other Xbox game Grounded, meanwhile, will be heading to Switch on April 16. The co-op shooter sees up to four players team up as teenagers who have been shrunk to the size of an ant in a backyard, as they try to survive against various insects and the elements.
The Switch version of Grounded will also support online crossplay with Xbox and PC.
The remaining two Xbox games expected to go multiplatform are Hi-Fi Rush and Sea Of Thieves, but it’s unclear when these will be announced. It’s also uncertain whether they can be made to run on the relatively underpowered Switch.

Elsewhere in the showcase, more past games from Xbox-owned developer Rare were announced for Nintendo Switch Online, including Snake Rattle ‘N’ Roll, R.C. Pro-Am, Battletoads In Battlemaniacs, Killer Instinct and Blast Corps from the Nintendo 64. These will all be available on the service later today.
