WWE fan favourite Xavier Woods has been left covered in welts and scars after an utterly brutal match on Monday Night Raw.

The 37-year-old superstar and his New Day teammate Kofi Kingston took on Imperium wrestlers Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser in a wild Street Fight this week, and he’s shared a gruesome video of the aftermath.

In the footage posted on X, the former King of the Ring winner can be seen in a medical room backstage with marks all over his arms and back.

He simply captioned the clip: ‘…street fight.’

Fans were stunned by the horrific injuries visible on his body, and one supporter replied: ”God damn man that match was intense but that part does not look fun 😖’

‘Y’all didn’t hold anything back. That was a hell of a fight,’ added a second fan, while another wrote: ‘Made my skin crawl just looking at the aftermath; brutal.’

His tag team partner Kofi hasn’t revealed any pictures or footage of himself after the bout, but he did retweet Xavier’s video.

The former world champion also said: ‘Damn… gonna feel that one tomorrow…actually, starting to feel it tonight, lol. Hats off to Imperium.’

And their New Day partner Big E – who has been out of action since suffering a broken neck in a match back in March 2022 – also heaped praise on his best friends after the match.

He tweeted: ‘Please appreciate my GOATs @AustinCreedWins & @TrueKofi while you still got em. In and out of the ring. The best. I get the honor of calling those men “my brothers.” ‘

In terms of his own in-ring future, Big E recently revealed his day to day life is in a great place after a long recovery from the injury, but he is in no rush to push himself by trying to get back in the ring.

‘It’s just kind of playing things by ear,’ he told Denise Salcedo. ‘I feel great and I just want to continue to feel good… When I think about the damage I’ve done to my body over the years, I just want to be smart.’

Imperium are dominating leading into WrestleMania (Picture: WWE)

Imperium’s win over The New Day has built some momentum for Ludwig and Giovani, while their leader GUNTHER could have his hands full in the buildup to WrestleMania 40.

After Raw, the Intercontinental Champion finds himself with a slew of potential challengers in Philadelphia, including the likes of Dominik Mysterio, Sami Zayn and Chad Gable.

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
