Bobby Brazier has not held back when asked if he has any desire to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

The EastEnders actor, 20, recently impressed when taking to the dancefloor for Strictly Come Dancing, making it all the way to the final.

A few months on, he’s been asked whether he would sign up for another reality series, specifically Big Brother, which hurled his mum Jade Goody into the limelight.

‘Absolutely not. I want to be an actor,’ he said.

‘Why would I do that when I’ve got EastEnders and other potential acting roles to think about?’

‘I want to be taken seriously as an actor,’ he continued to Woman Magazine, as reported by The Sun.

Bobby’s mum famously became a household name after starring in the civilian version of the show in 2002, before returning for the fifth season of Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, alongside her mother Jackiey Budden and boyfriend Jack Tweed.

However her return to the house was marred by controversy after she faced bullying and racism allegations alongside S Club 7 star Jo O’Meara and Danielle Lloyd.

Earlier this year Jack warned Bobby about taking part in the show.

‘My advice would be to stay well clear. It is not worth it. Me and Jade did not have a great experience. It ended in disaster,’ he told the Daily Mail.

‘I did not feel comfortable in that experience at all. You feel very exposed. It’s constant. It feels enclosed. We met a few nice people but I would not recommend it.

‘It caused a lot of problems. If they asked me what I think having been on it myself I would say avoid it.’

This weekend, Celebrity Big Brother will return for the first time in six years and while the line-up is yet to be revealed, there have been many names in the mix.

Some of the stars rumoured to have signed up include former Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, former This Morning host Fern Britton and X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

The last season of Celebrity Big Brother aired in 2018, with former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas taking out the title.

Celebrity Big Brother returns on March 4 at 9pm on ITV1.
