Fashion fans picked up bargains in the Glasgow store
The bargain store only has 25 branches across the UK and Ireland – including the one based at Glasgow Fort.
But shop bosses say they offer the “best ranges alongside new designer labels” with reductions of up to 70%.
They added: “Brand Max is home for all your favourite designer brands at low low prices.
“We have homeware essentials, outdoor and garden items, designer clothing, health and beauty products.”
And delighted fashion fans have been sharing their cheap buys on social media over the past week – with 75p bikinis, £5 heels and clothes under a tenner.
One said: “We just had to go for a nosey at Brand Max at Glasgow Fort and we were not disappointed.
“£5 for these lovely wee see-through heels, I had to buy them.
“Bikini top for 75p, they’ve got French Connection stuff, and £6 for Missguided sets.
“The place was really, really good. They have home stuff, hair stuff and lots of things.
“It reminds me of TK Maxx to be honest but cheaper. So much things for a fiver. It’s so like TK Maxx but better.”
Another insisted: “Girls run, don’t walk to Brand Max at Glasgow Fort.
“All clothes under £10, £5 heels and £3 Playboy Bunny tops.
“It’s a yes from me. There’s so many hidden finds and it’s all so cheap.”
Meanwhile, a third gushed: “Cheaper than Primark, I’ll be going soon.”
Not everyone is a fan of the store, however, as other shoppers dubbed it a budget TK Maxx with “rotten” stock.
“It was pile of c***, it was better visiting Morrisons”, claimed one.
A second added: “A lot of the cheap stuff is fast fashion that you’d get cheap anyway on the website which obviously didn’t sell which is why it went there [Brand Max].
“It looks like all the things TK Maxx couldn’t sell went there, it’s like a budget TK Maxx.
“I think it’s just a hype, I wouldn’t waste your time going. Most of the stuff’s rotten in my opinion.”
Someone else fumed: “It’s basically Sports Direct with some household stuff. Don’t waste your petrol.”
And another disappointed shopper said: “Drove over an hour to try [and] get a bargain and hardly anything left, and all small sizes. Was so gutted, must of been too late.”
