I’m seven months pregnant & work in a prison – I’m not allowed to wear ‘form fitting’ clothes so just look like a box

A WOMAN who works in a prison and is seven months pregnant has revealed she “feels like a box all day” because she’s not allowed to wear anything “form fitting”.

Bella explained that she struggles to find clothes to fit her pregnancy curves, especially considering jeans, jogging bottoms, leggings and yoga pants are all banned.

And considering all those trouser options are a “pregnant woman’s best friend”, Bella has been finding it difficult to find suitable clothes to wear to work.

“I was born with just big thighs,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.

“That’s what I was blessed with, okay?

“The past six years, when I would buy pants for work, I’d always have to buy a size up because my actual size that fits my waist is form fitting to my legs, which outside of work is totally fine.

“Inside of work is not, because they don’t want anything accentuating my curves.

“As you can imagine wearing maternity pants that are a size big or just so f**king ugly.”

And the same goes for tops as well.

“You don’t wanna wear anything form fitting,” she reiterated.

“Majority of maternity shirts are form fitting.

“So I just wear oversized polos or oversized hoodies and I just feel like a box all day, okay?”

Bella also finds herself getting a lot of looks and stares from her colleagues when she’s at work.

“In my six and a half years, I think I’ve seen two pregnant women working at the prison,” she explained.

“Usually if you’re pregnant they move you to the front to the admin building where you don’t walk inside.

“However, my office, thankfully, is a non inmate area.

“I don’t see inmates at all where I work in my office, but I still have to walk like almost half a mile from the parking lot to my office to get in every day.

“Which is good, but not good for my round ligament pain sometimes.”

“Good thing we’re at the finish line!” Bella captioned her video.

People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “I too worked at the jail and I had to look the same way every day.

“I couldn’t change my hair or make-up and my clothes had to be a size up.”

“When my mom was pregnant with me she also worked at a jail,” another added.

“I worked at a state prison before I became a mommy there’s no way I could’ve handled the smell while preggers,” a third commented.

To which Bella replied: “The further along I’ve gotten I don’t go out much because that’s a huge issue!”

“I feel you, I’m 8 months pregnant working at a prison and it sucks,” someone else said.

Her baby bump is as concealed as it can be in the ensembleTikTik/@bellllaaboo
