Sharon Osbourne is reportedly being paid an eye-watering daily fee for Celebrity Big Brother.

The former X Factor star, 71, is one of the names on the ‘leaked’ line-up for the ITV show, alongside the likes of Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin.

However, The Osbournes legend will not be a fully-fledged housemate, and will instead be a special guest star for up to five days, as reports claimed producers couldn’t afford her salary demands for a longer stay.

Now, Sharon and ITV are said to have reached a deal that will see her earn £100,000 a day, meaning she could pocked £500,000, for a shorter run on the legendary show.

A source said: ‘Bosses did all they could to get Sharon and finally reached a deal she’s happy with.’

They continued to The Sun: ‘Sharon will inject enough drama but without her original price tag that was just not feasible.’

Sharon’s stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house will also see her reunited with Louis Walsh on screen for the first time in seven years if rumours are to be believed.

Louis, 71, who was a judge on X Factor alongside Sharon, has also reportedly signed up for the ITV show.

‘Louis is just the kind of figure they want in the house — someone with serious life experience who not only has something to say, but isn’t afraid to say it,’ a TV insider told The Sun.

‘These characters have delivered some of the most outstanding moments of Celebrity Big Brother in the past and they’ll want to produce those again.

‘That means they may need to splash some cash to secure the people they have their eye on — but it’s a worthwhile investment.’

Other stars on the ‘leaked’ line-up are This Morning’s Fern Britton, Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith and Corrie legend Colson Smith.

ITV confirmed in November that the celebrity Big Brother spin-off would be returning on its flagship channel ITV1, and later revealed the start date was today (Monday, March 4).

The relaunch follows the successful revival of the original show, Big Brother, which gained its biggest viewing figures in more than a decade, with millions tuning in.

Over the years, the celebrity version has brought in A-listers from far and wide, including Rylan Clark, Spencer Pratt, Kerry Katona, Shilpa Shetty, Les Dennis and even Michael Barrymore – with the 22 winners of the show varying from boyband legends to controversial reality stars.

In response to Sharon’s fee rumours, A Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Any names are at this point pure speculation and viewers will have to tune in to see who will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to ITV and Sharon’s rep for comment.

Celebrity Big Brother starts tonight (Monday March, 4) at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
