Katie Price is due to appear in court accused of driving without insurance and without a licence despite previously being banned for getting behind a wheel for two years.

The former glamour model, 45, has infamously been banned from driving six times over the years, mostly recently for speeding and failing to provide information to police.

Earlier this year she was fined almost £400 for speeding as well as driving with an expired licence.

Just two months later Katie is again in trouble with the law and is expected to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday afternoon.

The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star is accused of driving a Range Rover on August 2 last year on the A14 bypass in Kettering, Northamptonshire, without insurance and without a valid driver’s licence after she was disqualified from driving in December 2021.

She was previously banned from driving for two years after she crashed her BMW on the B2135 near Partridge Green on September 28, 2021.

She was also handed a 16-week suspended jail sentence for drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance.

During that court appearance, the prosecutor said Katie had five previous driving bans.

On an episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show last month, she explained how she felt under-appreciated.

She recently said people didn’t ‘appreciate’ what she’d done in her career (Picture: Backgrid)

‘There’s not one magazine I didn’t do a cover for. I done Cosmopolitan, New Women, I done Elle magazine cover, Night and Day, FHM, GQ, Esquire, Loaded. I even got FHM Girl of the Year,’ she said.

‘If they still did magazine shoots, cover shoots like that now, I would absolutely love to do them but they don’t do them anymore.’

She added: ‘People don’t really appreciate what I’ve done. I’m what they say is a real model. I am a real, tested, long-term real model in the way that I don’t do just do pictures and call myself a model.’

Since gaining recognition in the late 1990s for her glamour modelling work, Katie has appeared on I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother, been in the running to represent the UK in Eurovision, starred in her own reality TV series and released six autobiographies, eleven novels, one fashion book, and two series of children’s books.
