‘Kegel twice for help,’ shoppers mock new Free People ‘micro shorts,’ saying ‘there isn’t enough Monistat in the world’
SPRING may have arrived but disgruntled shoppers thought that Free People’s latest micro shorts let a bit too much of the breeze in.
They shared their disbelief and grievances on the brand’s latest campaign launch.

Free People announced their new design in an Instagram post.
“We are wearing micro shorts this season. Link in bio to shop the styles,” they wrote.
The denim shorts came in multiple washes, from light blue to medium to black, as well as an array of styles.
One featured side slit cutouts for extra flair, which the model paired with a chunky belt for pizzazz.
A medium-wash style had extra layers of denim fabric over the pockets as if it were a ruffled skirt.
A third was geometrically shaped to look like a swimwear bottom but in denim form.
All, however, were low-waisted and short, hitting the upper thighs and covering just the bikini area.
Shoppers criticized Free People’s latest shorts, sharing their quips in the comments.
“As a general rule, I prefer my shorts and skirts to be longer than my tampon string,” said one commenter.
“To the model, are you ok? Kegel twice for help. We will def see it,” said another.
Some were concerned that people may acquire a yeast infection in the shorts.
“There isn’t enough Monistat in the world for these shorts to exist,” said one viewer.
One woman, however, was glad she finally found shorts that suited a specific need.
“I always wanted shorts I could leave on even during my pap smear,” she said.
“Everybody relax with these rude, aggressive comments. I bought them for my hamster and she loves them!” said another.
Despite the controversy, many of the styles remain sold out in size 24, much to one woman’s displeasure.
“Ladies we are laughing but the dark wash is sold out. Who is buying these?!” she said.
