I’m a big bust babe – my cheap £4 hack turns any bra into a strapless one, and you still have loads of support

A SAVVY woman has revealed an easy strapless bra hack for all her big bust babes – and it only costs £4.

Katie, from Inverness, wears an L cup and aims to inspire fashionistas to embrace the skin they’re in.

And she recently shared a budget-friendly tip that transforms any bra into a strapless one – while still giving you plenty of support.

Speaking to BBC The Social, Katie said: “Don’t have a strapless bra? Don’t worry, I’ve got your back.

“By folding the straps down you can transform a simple T-shirt bra into a strapless one.

“If you feel like you could still use a little bit extra coverage or support you can add a long line bandeau a few sizes down in a stretch fabric.”

She added: “It can be really hard to find a strapless bra that’s the right fit.

“Too big and it falls off, too small and you end up with quad boob.

“You can test your bra by fastening it backwards and doing the two finger test.

“The perfect stretch is when you can fit two fingers between you and the band, but no more.”

With a bandeau ribbed crop top costing just £4 in Primark, it works out as a very cost-effective hack.

And Katie’s large-chested community have welcomed the clever idea as one gushed: “Ahh perfect thank you! I was struggling with my bras!”

A second wrote: “If only I’d seen this when I was growing up omg, what a hero.”

Meanwhile, a third said: “Big love for this.”

The bra tip comes as research from lingerie brand Boux Avenue found that 81 per cent of women are wearing the wrong size.

Despite women’s breasts changing shape and size throughout their lifetime, more than a third (35 per cent) have never had a bra fitted.

Experts claim you should have a bra fitting every six to 12 months to ensure you are wearing the right fit and style for your bust.

Priya Downes, founder and CEO of lingerie brand Nudea, says: “Wearing the right bra is the single most important factor to a woman’s wardrobe, no matter what size.

“If your shoes caused blisters you’d stop wearing them, so why do we find ourselves hanging on to uncomfortable undies?

“If you can’t wait to get home at the end of the day to rip yours off as soon as you walk in the door, chances are that you’re wearing the wrong size.”

Tips on how to select the right bra for you

HERE are Priya’s bra checks for finding the perfect fit:

UNDERBAND: This is crucial for support.
It should feel seamless against your skin, resting in a straight line.
Now, try to put two fingers under the band – there should be just enough room, leaving you with a perfectly snug fit.
CUPS: You don’t want them too tight, with your boobs bulging over the top or out the side.
And you really don’t want gaping between the cup and the top of your breast.
Neither is a good look under your clothes.
CENTRE FRONT: The wiring that curves up between your breasts should lay flat against your breastbone without any discomfort or rogue wire poking out.
