‘Keep shopping’ urge trolls after a wedding guest shows off her ‘special’ frock that ‘does nothing’ for her figure

A FASHION lover has been slated for her ”not special” dresses she was considering wearing to nuptials.

With a wedding ceremony to attend in the sunny Florida, one woman took to Reddit after she couldn’t decide which frock to go for – however, it looks like she will have to visit the shops once again.

In the post, the anonymous style enthusiast explained this was not her first time looking for the perfect outfit, as she’d already been ”roasted” on the popular forum before.

The dress code of the Spring wedding next week, she noted in the post, was ”formal”, and there were a few options she had her eyes on.

One such potential pick, for instance, was a black T-shirt style maxi dress with a knee-high slit by one of the legs, as well as a flattering belt detailing that enhanced her curves.

Whilst checking out the outfits in the aisles, the shopper had also picked up a more glam one-shoulder dress in purple – this evening gown was a maxi number and the material had a light sparkle to it.

Another possible outfit was a lovely and vibrant wrap dress in cheerful yellow – perfect for welcoming the warmer weather.

This gorgeous and bright frock cut right below her knees and featured a flattering plunging neckline, as well as a cinched waist detailing.

The final wedding guest attire the fashionista had also spotted was yet another black maxi dress – similarly to the first frock, this, too, had a slit, however, it was sleeveless.

Seeking advice from fellow Redditors, the shopper wrote: ”Alright Reddit, since y’all roasted me I went shopping today.

”Any of these work or should I keep shopping? Formal wedding in Sarasota next week.

”For the purple sequined one, I think I’d safety pin the straps to make it look better.

”I was hoping that on would work (I had to buy it before I tried it on because fitting rooms were closed and try it on at the next store).”

However, whilst she might’ve thought the dresses were fit for a formal wedding, the opinion online was slightly different, as dozens flocked to comments to share their thoughts.

One reckoned: ”The yellow one is by far the most flattering but it isn’t formal. I would look for something floor length with that silhouette.”

Bridal expert reveals the must-have trends for 2024

Event whizz Tsitsi Lynn Makuni claimed that mini gowns, wearing bows for tying the knot and donning bold accessories are among this season’s must-haves for marriage, The Sun reported earlier.
RING THE CHANGES – brides are opting for not one, but two dresses.
HITCH UP THE SKIRTS – short dresses were a huge hit at the Scottish Wedding Show’s October Catwalk and Tsitsi said more bridal boutiques are now offering shorter styles.
BRIGHT NOT WHITE – white and ivory dresses are no longer a given as more designers offer pastel options, and we will see a demand in more bold colours too.
BE BOLD – the accessories, too, will be as bold as our dresses. Expect to see dramatic headbands, pearl-embellished veils, elegant gloves and retro sunglasses.
TAKE A BOW – from small bows on headpieces and shoes to oversized bows on dresses, this is a wedding trend that’s showing no signs of slowing down, the expert revealed.

Someone else agreed, adding that none of the options really worked for a wedding ceremony.

”Keep shopping. The black one does nothing for your figure & looks boring, not special.

”Purple you would need a good bra for that one but it doesn’t flatter you. Yellow would be good for work or a date.”

Another shared the same opinion, adding that whilst the purple frock was ”the only formal” option here, it didn’t really flatter her body.

”None of these scream formal honestly,” is how a fourth felt about the potential outfits.

Unfortunately for the fashionista, it looks like she will have to head to the shops againreddit/Weddingattireapproval
