The new game from the makers of Ori And The Blind Forest is out soon and you can get it cheap if you buy it within the first two weeks.

The creators of the two Ori games, Moon Studios, is getting ready to launch its new action role-playing game, No Rest For the Wicked, on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The game was one of the most promising new titles at The Game Awards in December and you’ll soon be able to buy its early access version at a discounted price on PC, from April 18.

No Rest For The Wicked is a completely different style of game to Ori and while it does have a strong multiplayer element the early access version will focus on single-player and ‘a rich offline mode’.

The premise of the game has you controlling a holy warrior who investigates a plague in the year 841. But we’re going to bet the gameplay doesn’t revolve around figuring out herbal cures.

It actually looks similar to a Diablo style role-player, so it’s a complete change of pace for Moon Studios, which is brave of them.

Although originally an Xbox console exclusive, the Ori games were subsequently released on Nintendo Switch (but not PlayStation) in a prelude to Microsoft’s more recent multiformat experiments.

For a while, Moon Studios seemed to be acting almost as a second party Xbox studio but they’ve since distanced themselves from both Microsoft and the Ori franchise, which they don’t own the rights to.

That means Microsoft could get someone else to make a third Ori game, but so far there’s been no indication that will happen.

The discount situation for No Rest For The Wicked is complicated but is based on the fact that the game will be £31.49 on Steam for the first two week, instead of £34.99.

But you can get the price down to £27.99 if you tune in to, so far unspecified, streamers and use their affiliate link. Hopefully more details will be revealed on how that works nearer the time.
