People slate bride’s see-through dress that ‘looks like gingerbread’

THOUGH we’d never admit it, most women have planned what they will look like in their dream wedding dress.

Whilst lace can often add elegance to a dress, the placement on one bride’s outfit has raised more than a few eyebrows online.

Going viral for all the wrong reasons on Facebook, users were shocked by the newlywed’s unusual choice of gown.

When looking at the original photo posted on the ‘That’s it, I’m wedding shaming’ group, it is hard for your eye not to be immediately drawn to the bride’s dress.

Though it should have been a romantic pic of the newlywed, members of the group seem to be too distracted by the nude illusion outfit.

Rather than blending in with her skin tone though, it seems orange against her hand and neck make the bodysuit look more boxy than it really is.

Lace is usually a safe choice for your big day, but the bold floral pattern on this dress does nothing to flatter the woman’s curves.

Often more risqué than romantic, the design seems to highlight the NSWF parts of her body in full view of friends and family.  

If that wasn’t bad enough, the dress seemed to be slightly too big for the bride with it wrinkling in awkward places.

Thankfully, the bride seems too excited about her big day to care but you have to wonder why her bridesmaid didn’t suggest she go for an alternative gown.

Almost immediately, the unconventional dress went viral with plenty of other women offering their opinions – despite it being already too late.

Most were stunned by the lace design, with one even commenting on the NSFW placement of one flower in particular.

“There’s literally a flower over her [vagina],” they wrote, still in shock over the image.

Cheekily adding an oyster emoji, the user said: “Flora-gina is never a good look.”

Others had more wholesome thoughts about the floral dress, with another saying that the bride looked like a classic Christmas treat.

“Wow. It looks like she is wearing a gingerbread house,” they teased, with over 47 others liking the icing illusion.

Some were more frustrated that the nude lining didn’t match the bride’s skin tone, despite her presumably going to multiple fittings ahead of her big day.

“This would be so much nicer if the lining was a soft blush,” complained a third, with the fourth saying it could have been ‘good’ if the nude fabric just wasn’t there.

A fifth then replied: “Lace pattern…gorgeous. Lining paper bag from a market.”

It seems members of the Facebook group struggled to look away, with some questioning whether the dress was actually a dress.

“Is it pants?” questioned one confused Facebook user, with another, replying: “It totally looks like a super unfortunate jumpsuit.”

Much like the viral optical illusion dress, it seems that there is no straightforward answer to this image.
