‘My bargain of the day’ cries shopper after finding ‘adorable’ Burberry skirt in charity shop for £6
A CHARITY shop pro has revealed her “bargain of the day” after picking up a Burberry skirt for just £6.

The bargain-hunting fashionista, from Lanarkshire, says she’s on a mission to “make second hand trendy”.
Her stunning buys, with some from £1 rails, prove you don’t have to break the bank to look good.
And one of her recent finds is bound to encourage other fashionistas to hit their nearest charity shop.
The 33-year-old gushed: “Not me finding Burberry in the charity shop.”
She added: “The skirt departments in charity shops can be a bit meh, but this one always has good skirts.
“This little Burberry skirt. Is she not adorable? I’ve got loads of options already that I can wear it with.
“That was my amazing bargain of the day. A little Burberry for £6 and she is very cute.”
But Paula has since developed some doubts about the authenticity of the tartan garment.
She told us: “Usually I can find details online but I can’t find anything about the skirt so it very well could be a very good fake hence the cheap price.
“If it is real it’s an amazing find, online similar ones second hand are priced about £100.”
She added: “Burberry is a brand you can find quite easily in vintage shops but because of the brand’s awareness it’s rare to get them at such a low price.”
It’s not the first time Paula has found a designer gem while rummaging through charity shops.
We told earlier how she discovered a genuine Prada handbag at Kilbryde Hospice Retail in Lanarkshire.
The 2005 re-edition nylon hobo bag cost her just £40 – hundreds of pounds cheaper than the original price tag.
The noughties Prada handbag is so iconic that it’s been brought back by the designer brand, with a new version selling for £920.
Paula said: “I’ve had this authenticated, she is the real deal.
“It was an instant high of finding something really special and really unique for an absolute bargain price.
“It’s the ultimate find when thrifting, to find high end designer pieces.”
But failing to bag high end items in your local charity shop isn’t the end of the world as there’s still other amazing finds to be had.
“Even if you can’t find designer brands at charity shops there is always good quality brands”, Paula said.
“Looking at labels and washing instructions is always where I find the bits others look past.”
