JLS’ Oritsé Williams left with ‘a lot of unanswered questions’ after wife’s miscarriages-Danni Scott-Entertainment – Metro

Oritsé Williams recently revealed the devastating news that he and his wife, Kazz, had suffered two miscarriages which left him ‘inconsolable’.

The 37-year-old singer has now shared that he had ‘open wounds’ from the baby losses, which he struggled to cope with in the public eye with while reuniting the band.

JLS — consisting of Oritsé, Marvin Humes, JB Gill, and Aston Merrygold —announced their return in 2020, after teasing fans for months, with a tour and new tracks.

Metro.co.uk spoke to Marvin and Oritsé about their choice to return to the spotlight when their personal lives are vastly different from their launch in 2008.

The studio became a safe haven for the former X Factor stars, with the latter confessing he was solely ‘expressing’ his heartbreak through recording music.

‘I think the problem with men is that we don’t always talk and we don’t express the things that we feel,’ Oritsé shared.

‘Baby loss and miscarriage is a very, very, very, very difficult thing to be able to deal with,’ added the Beat Again hitmaker before pausing to compose himself.

He continued: ‘You’ve got a lot of question marks that will never be answered.’

The One Shot singer praised Kazz for her strength in that time and forcing him to open up to her about how he was feeling, instead of bottling up the pain.

The couple met through social media in 2019, taking time to get to know each other before going official and tying the knot three years later.

Oritsé said: ‘Women go through things physically, emotionally, psychologically when it comes to that type of thing but [so do] men. I was left with certain scars and open wounds that needed to heal.’

Finally he sought support from other men, some of whom who had been through baby losses, which were ‘super helpful’ in his healing process.

Reflecting on his mental health, the Brit Award winner added: ‘Men definitely need to talk a lot more and not hold things inside and realise that being strong and being tough isn’t just going about your business like I was. Open conversations is what really needed to happen.

‘I’ve learned from that and have grown. I’ve encouraged other men to speak openly and have had a lot of men reached out to me, saying that was really helpful.’

His JLS bandmates were of course by his side, with Marvin, 39, calling the band and everyone supporting them a ‘dream team’.

In their prime, the quartet scored five number one singles with millions of albums sold — landing them each a net worth of around £6million.

Oritsé credited JLS’ triumphant reunion in 2020 as the ‘blueprint’ which brought the ‘nostalgic thing back’, adding: ‘Everyone seems to have followed.’

There are a slew of acts from the 80s, 90s, and 00s who have reunited this year with tours and surprise shows, from Girls Aloud to NSYNC.

When asked why there are no boy bands left, Marvin shared: ‘All of the boy bands, man bands, whatever you want to call us now are all the ones that are re-formed.

‘It’s a good question that, it’s very good question.’

He excitedly hyped up the return of NSYNC and Justin Timberlake, begging for them to go on a full tour rather than just surprise on stage appearances together.

‘Big NSYNC fan. No doubt. Oritsé is as well,’ the pair laughed before letting slip their own new addition to the band.

‘Sam is a great guy, a lovely, lovely, lovely man,’ he shared of his I’m a Celeb best mate and King of the Jungle, Sam Thompson.

Giving a teaser of things to come, Marvin — who is married to The Saturday’s Rochelle — revealed: ‘I actually bumped into him and Oritsé at the studio.

‘It’s lovely to see two of my boys hanging out who only met for the first time [the day before] is mad.’

The Made In Chelsea star had gushed about JLS while in Australia, begging Marvin for a chance to come on stage with the group.

Sam appeared with the group on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, singing and dancing along with his idols and looking absolutely thrilled to be there.

Grinning, the Hit List host shared: ‘We’ve obviously formed a great bond. His voice is actually okay…’
