Two WWE superstars came to blows as a scheduled WrestleMania 40 media junket descended into chaos.

LA Knight and AJ Styles are due to face off in a grudge match on Sunday night (April 7) after months of tension, and their storyline rivalry blurred the lines as it bubbled over right in front of the world’s media.

In footage captured by Metro.co.uk, the two wrestlers can be seen brawling, breaking chairs and crashing into the world of a suite at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Philadelphia.

Both men were scheduled to appear at the media junket at different times, but as Styles finished his final interview, he threw a stool towards his rival and started talking trash.

Knight, who was ‘arrested’ last month after a home invasion as part of the ongoing storyline, was conducting his first interview of the day when he got in the Phenomenal One’s face.

They started scrapping as media in the room rushed around with cameras, held back by members of the WWE media team.

The chaotic scenes looked more real than fans and media are used to, with Styles and Knight flinging each other into a wall, while the former emerged from the scrap with a legitimately bloody nose.

The two men were then ushered out the room by WWE’s press team, while they still tried to reignite the brawl on their way out, as Metro followed close by.

As they left the suite, we were told to stay in the press room, and continue with the junket.

Knight appeared on SmackDown later that night, and vowed to take the fight to Styles when they meet in the ring at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday evening.

The pair have been at odds for months, and the rivalry came to a head in February when former world champion Styles cost his rival a World Heavyweight Title shot by flying to Australia and attacking him inside the Elimination Chamber.

He then took him out again a few weeks ago with a steel chair, and Knight is nowon the warpath, desperate for revenge.

WrestleMania itself is looking more stacked than ever, with Logan Paul defending his United States Title against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat Match.

WWE Women’s and Women’s World Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will put their respective titles on the line against Becky Lynch and Bayley, while Sami Zayn is challenging GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship.

Night one’s main event will see The Rock and Roman Reigns battle Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, while the next night Seth defends the World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre, and Cody will face Roman for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.

WWE is holding WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and 7 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Tune in at midnight both nights via the WWE Network.
