Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison was on her way to see her dream wedding venue when she was turned away at the airport due to a dog-chewed passport.

The 36-year-old is set to marry fellow reality TV star Ercan Ramadan – who appeared on The Only Way is Essex in 2016 – in a lavish September wedding.

She’s been incredibly open about the upcoming nuptials, even sharing a picture of her posing in a wedding dress in January, declaring she ‘can’t wait’ to marry the ‘love of [her] life’.

But not all has gone to plan of late, as easyJet staff scuppered her plans to travel abroad to check out her dream wedding venue with her organisational entourage.

Taking to social media with a series of pictures and captions, Vicky shared how the airline staff turned her away from her flight due to her passport.

But the important document wasn’t out of date – as some which get pulled up tend to be – but it had been chewed by her dog Milo.

In a box Vicky filled in to apply for a new passport, she said her passport was damaged due to her dog ‘chewing the side a bit’.

Sharing a picture of their suitcases all packed at the airport, Vicky said: ‘Thought we were off to see our wedding venue today, we were so excited…

‘I rushed back from Newcastle, packed at midnight last night and jumped into bed and got three hours sleep… But I didn’t mind because we were going for our menu tasting.’

She continued, explaining: ‘Only to have the @easyjet staff turn me away.. I’ve been travelling with my passport all year and no one’s said anything, bit it’s definitely well-travelled to be fair.

‘Company policy is company policy and I get it, I’m just beyond gutted, you know?’

Adding to her disappointment, Vicky’s wedding planner, assistant, florist and ‘everyone’ were all heading out to the destination – but number one isn’t going to be there.

‘I’m just heading home…’ she said, adding: ‘to have a really good cry I think. All the wasted money, how hard it was for me to get the time off, how excited we were, how I’ve wasted everyone’s time. I’m just sad I think.’

Then, Vicky posted a photo of her scuffed passport, and wrote: ‘This is what was wrong with my passport for everyone asking, in fairness, I don’t know if that is really bad or not, I’ve just not had anyone ever tell me it was before.. cheeky little Milo…

‘Think rather than waste my glam, I’m going to take some new passport pictures, then cry,’ she added, with a teary and laughing emoji, clearing seeing the funny side of the dire situation, while sharing her new passport photo.

easyJet responded to Pattison’s experience, sharing a statement with, which read: ‘We are sorry for Ms Pattison’s experience and the inconvenience caused. At easyJet, we work closely with the authorities and comply with their guidance to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and staff.

‘As such, we cannot allow any passenger to travel on their planned flight with documentation damaged to such a degree that its authenticity is brought into question. It is the passenger’s responsibility to have suitable documentation for travel.’

Vicky said yes to Ercan in February 2022 in a dreamy moment captured in Dubai, and she later told about their long engagement plans.

The former reality star admitted she’s made the ‘mistake’ in the past of rushing into things, and just wanted to enjoy living in the moment for some time.

‘We haven’t started [planning] yet. When we first got engaged, I wanted to get married next year then start having kids.

‘It was almost like I was on fast forward and I don’t know why because I’ve realised that’s been my mistake a number of times in the past, rushing into things, and not stopping smell the roses,’ she said.
