Popular YouTube creator Abhradeep Saha, better known as Angry Rantman, has died aged 27.

His family confirmed the shock death on April 17, months after the influencer underwent major surgery for an undisclosed health issue.

Saha was known for his ‘rants’ and sports commentary as a huge Chelsea FC fan, amassing a huge online following with 486,000 subscribers on YouTube.

‘With profound grief and sorrow, we hereby declare the sad and untimely demise of Abhradeep Saha AKA #AngryRantman,’ the family wrote on his Instagram.

In January, the star revealed he was still in the intensive care unit but did not disclose any further information other than stating he would be offline for a while.

The statement continued: ‘He touched the lives of millions with his Honesty, humour and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His health had taken a turn just weeks before, as his family shared he was now in a ‘really critical’ condition as he was placed on life support.

The post was flooded with messages of sympathy and some sports teams have also shared their devastation at the loss.

‘The BFC family is saddened to learn about the passing of #IndianFootball faithful Abhradeep Saha,’ Bengaluru FC wrote on X.

It added: ‘A West Block Blue through and through, Abhradeep’s love for the game knew no bounds and the passion in his rants will be missed. Rest in peace.’

The Kerala Blasters FC said they were mourning ‘the loss of one of the most enthusiastic and passionate voices in Indian football.’

They shared: ‘We will dearly miss his memorable rants and love for the beautiful game.’
