Britain’s Got Talent viewers think they’ve already found their winner, just moments into the first show of the new season.
Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon have returned to discover some of the best talent in the country, with thousands taking to the stage to audition in the hopes of winning the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Show.
And one star isn’t so far away from the Britain’s Got Talent crown, with her incredible singing having won the hearts of the nation.
The judges and audience were so impressed by her that Amanda, 53, dropped the first Golden Buzzer of the season.
For the uninitiated, if an act receives the Golden Buzzer they are guaranteed to progress straight to the live semi-finals, bypassing the bootcamp stages.
But viewers think Sydnie Christmas will be going much further.
The performer, from Kent, managed to turn Simon’s mind around with her stunning rendition of Tomorrow, after saying she dreams of being in the West End.

The 28-year-old had all four judges on their feet, as Bruno gushed over her ‘art’ and Alesha said: ‘You are full of character, personality, you’ve got it all going on. Say no more, girl! Smashed it, let’s have it!’
Amanda added: ‘Sydnie I think for me, what struck me so much about you is how naturally funny, how brilliant, how warm your presence was the minute you walked on the stage.
‘How you were entertaining everyone but then you brought us the most heartfelt, beautiful version of that song, and that was the best version I’ve heard in my life.’
Reaching out to press the Golden Buzzer, Amanda shouted: ‘So I’m going to do this!’

‘Sydnie. Winner right there,’ X user @k4 wrote.
‘I’m calling it @AmandaHolden has the winner of #BGT,’ viewer John said.
‘She’s the winner what a voice,’ Mark added.
Rose said: ‘Yes! Well deserved Sydnie! Absolute goosebumps and never heard that song performed better than that. It’s early but I’m calling it. She’s the winner.’
Amy wrote: ‘Ok Sydnie that was wonderful #BGT#Britainsgottalent Not gonna lie i got a little bit emotional over that performance. i felt that in my heart.’

After Amanda pressed the Golden Buzzer, leaving the audience erupting, Simon called out: ‘Sydnie, I want to say something, that reaction we heard in the room, it’s rare.’
He added: ‘Everyone’s aware it’s tough to get that break for something which you really love, you so deserve what you just got.
‘Your control was amazing, and I used to hate that song and now I absolutely love it. Good for you, that was absolutely brilliant.’
Amanda had previously spoken about her Golden Buzzer act, after it was revealed that it’s pressed nine times in this series alone, despite the rule that judges (and Ant and Dec) are only allowed to press it once each.
‘It just felt how I was when I was starting out, she’d done some bits and bobs or whatever. I was lucky I went on to work, but she’s just not had that break she deserves,’ Amanda previously explained.

Could she be the next Adele? (Picture: ITV/YouTube)
‘The version of the song she sang was so amazing, and considering how many people have done it, for it to have had such an impact, it really affected me,’ she enthused.
‘I was blown away by her and I really hope this is going to give her a kickstart to a
career that she’s destined to have.’
‘I said to Simon that she had Adele vibes because she was really down to earth, very funny,’ Amanda recalled.
‘I thought she was going to do stand-up when she came on. So she was a little diamond, a little bit rough around the edges, but super charming, very charismatic, very relatable. I thought, “God, she’s a little star”.’

An incredible routine! (Picture: ITV)
Not long after Sydnie scored the Golden Buzzer, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly took to the stage to deliver theirs.
Martial arts group Ssaulabi Performance Troupe seriously impressed with their routine on stage, jumping higher than imaginable and breaking wooden boards.
Once again, the judges were on their feet, with Dec shouting: ‘I’ve never felt so alive!’
‘The power, the beauty, the artistry, it blows everything else I’ve seen out of the water! Insane, incredible!’ Bruno praised, while Alesha spoke about how she can’t wait to watch ‘more of that’.
‘I can’t imagine how much discipline, hard work and dedication it’s taken,’ she added, calling their act ‘one of the best things I’ve ever seen on this show.’
Amanda added: ‘My mind is blown, it was like a Quentin Tarantino movie, I couldn’t get over it.’
‘I totally agree with everything everyone’s said,’ Simon went on, crediting the years it ‘must have taken’ the group to achieve their artistry.
‘It was more than a 10, it was an 11!’ he said, highlighting how ‘inspiring’ it was.
Britain’s Got Talent continues tomorrow night at 7.40pm on ITV1 and is available to watch on ITVX.
