Gogglebox stars Stephen Lustig-Webb and husband Daniel are divorcing after six years of marriage, it’s been revealed.

Stephen, 52, and Daniel, 48, have appeared on the Channel 4 programme together since 2019, starring alongside the likes of married couple Dave and Shirley Griffiths, sisters Izzy and Ellie Warner, and best friends Jenny Newby and Lee Riley.

The couple quit Gogglebox last year, saying they wanted to ‘explore other opportunities’.

They’ve now announced the sad news they are ‘parting ways’, after getting engaged in 2016, and tying the knot two years later in 2018.

Stephen said: ‘It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce.

‘There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.’

Daniel added to The Sun: ‘We’ve made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end.

‘I’m sure we will forever be friends.’

Stephen and Daniel made a shock exit from the Channel 4 programme in September last year, saying the decision was made ‘after careful consideration’ and they wanted to ‘explore other opportunities’.

‘After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox,’ Stephen shared on Instagram.

‘We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities.’

Stephen was one of the original stars on the show, joining Gogglebox for season one in 2013, with his former partner Christopher Steed.

After Christopher left the series in 2017, Stephen’s mother Pat Webb took his place from series 10 to 12.

Daniel has joined Stephen since series 13, appearing on Gogglebox from 2019.

Stephen was originally announced as part of this year’s Dancing On Ice line-up, but was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury.

Metro.co.uk has approached Stephen’s reps for comment.

Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
