Olly Murs has been reunited with his newborn daughter Maddison after being forced to leave on tour just 48 hours after she was born.

The 39-year-old singer, who recently welcomed his first child with body builder wife Amelia Tank, 31, shared adorable glimpses of his new daughter with fans.

Despite the demands of his career, Murs managed to steal a moment with his little girl, capturing a sweet photo of Maddison sleeping peacefully and posting it to his Instagram account.

‘Bless Madi, I think she’s got her Dad’s feet,’ he playfully remarked alongside the image.

In another heartwarming post, Murs shared a picture of Maddison dressed in a cute ‘I love my daddy lots and lots’ outfit, tenderly holding onto his finger. ‘Sunday morning cuddles hit differently now…’ the Troublemaker singer captioned the touching moment.

Sharing a clip of Olly on stage while recovering from birth, Amelia wrote: ‘I’ve just been sat feeding our baby Madi and then we see this post. She doesn’t even know she’s got a super Daddy yet. We are both missing you very much but so proud of you @ollymurs.’

The singer assured fans he would still make the April 18 tour date despite the birth of his daughter, uploading a video to Instagram.

He said: ‘It’s been an incredible few days, little Maddison is here and we’re just very, very over the moon and just full of love.

‘I just wanted to jump on here and say that everyone who is coming to the Leeds show tonight for the Take That show, I am here, yes. I mean it was so horrible to say goodbye this morning to Madison and Amelia but the show must go on.

‘I’m here tonight so I just wanted to send all my love to you guys and thank you for all your support and love. I really appreciate it. I can’t believe I’m a dad.’

The couple has been preparing for the possibility of the birth of their daughter overlapping with Murs’ performances. The pop star told Metro he had a ‘plan’ in place.

He said: ‘There’s quite an intense plan in place, which has been a stress, I think, for my tour manager and management team.

‘We planned this tour way before the baby was a thought, so now’s it’s here, it’s happening.’

However, the emotional toll of leaving his newborn and wife to return to his tour was evident as Murs took to the stage.

The singer, clearly moved by the message from his wife, reposted Tank’s post with a crying emoji before sharing a picture of himself embracing a bunny gifted to him for Maddison.

Amidst the whirlwind of emotions, Murs, who performed alongside Take That at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, couldn’t contain his joy at being a new father.

Addressing the audience, he revealed, ‘What’s so amazing about tonight is it’s my first show as a daddy. I’m going to try and not get emotional. Little Maddison is doing really well.’

Acknowledging the challenges of balancing fatherhood and his career, Murs assured fans that despite the pull of family life, he was committed to putting on a stellar performance for his devoted audience.

‘I wasn’t going to leave you guys hanging tonight, I’ll rush home to see the baby,’ he pledged, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
