I’m a size 20… my friends are an 8 and short size 12 – we tried the same four glam occasion outfits and all looked fab
IT can be hard to find an occasion dress that will suit all shapes and sizes.
But River Island have managed to do just that, with four incredible outfits – modelling them on three women of varying heights and dress sizes.

They shared the video on TikTok, showing Emily, a size 8 and 5ft 7, Sacha, a size 12 and 5ft 2, and Liz, a size 18 to 20 and 5ft 5.
“Our job is to make everyone feel amazing this occasion season,” they added in the caption.
The first ensemble they showed was a black jumpsuit, which comes in at £55, followed by a cream frill slip maxi dress, £60, and a cute grey boho-style dress.
They concluded the video with a look at the black cape detail shift mini dress.
“Absolutely loved doing this shoot with these amazing girls,” Liz commented on the TikTok.
“All outfits looks stunning on us all.
“@River Island are really spoiling us with the summer styles and this is only the beginning!”
Liz also revealed in another video that she was wearing a size 18 in all the dresses.
“I think the nicest one is the middle looks perfect,” another added.
“Love this idea of showing different sizes on the same screen,” a third praised.
As someone else said: “My eyes just go to the curvy pretty lady others not a look in, and I’m a married lady!
“Just lovely!”
Not everyone was so complimentary about the dresses though, with one troll cruelly writing: “Do we win a prize for guessing who got to the catering van first during the shoot lunch break?”
River Island is known for their incredible occasion wear, and recently showed how they would style their cream glitter star maxi dress for four different occasions.
“Spring is here and along with it, a flurry of invites and what to wear dilemmas,” they wrote on their website.
“Luckily, we have just the thing: a wear-everywhere dress that’s as versatile as your social calendar.
“It’s the kind of dress that’d impress everyone at your mother-in-law’s Easter lunch, but also wouldn’t look out of place on a girls’ night out or at your cousin’s wedding.
“No, it’s not a miracle – it’s just a really good dress!”
They went on to show how they would style the dress for the races, a girls’ night out, a spring wedding and Easter celebrations.
