Saturday night proved to be a big one as Victoria Beckham turned 50, celebrating the big Five-O with husband David and… the Spice Girls!

That’s right Among the A-list guestlist, which also featured Tom Cruise and Eva Longoria, Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Horner all stopped by to wish the birthday girl many happy returns.

The five-piece girl group brought a heap of fun and Girl Power to the 1990s and broke into a fabulous rendition of their massive hit Stop at the big bash in London.

And after David Beckham posted a video online of Posh, Baby, Scary, Sporty, and Ginger reuniting to sing the song, there’s increased hope that the Spice Girls might well reform to play Glastonbury in 2025.

Bookmakers have said that a Spice Girls reunion at Glasto is currently at just 2/1, with Victoria’s birthday celebrations the main driver behind those short odds.

John Hill, a spokesperson for Coral, said: ‘On the back of the Spice Girls’ surprise performance at Victoria Beckham’s birthday party, we have seen strong support for the 90s girls group to play Glastonbury in 2025.

‘We have slashed the odds in half on all five girls lining up on the Pyramid Stage [in 2025].’

In addition, Lee Astley, a spokesperson for BetIdeas said: ‘Spice Girls fans were given a treat when David Beckham shared footage of them performing together over the weekend – rumours of an official reunion have gone into overdrive ever since then.’

And Lee gave more reasons for Spice Girls fans to be cheerful when he indicated that Victoria re-joining the group might well mean more new music on the horizon.

‘Victoria Beckham didn’t take part in the last Spice Girls tour but she’s now 2/1 to return to the band to complete a full reunion this year, with a new single and album also a real possibility at 5/2 and 11/4 respectively.’

He continued: ‘If the Spice Girls are to get back together then they could crown their reunion with a special performance at Glastonbury this summer, with the original five members 6/1 to perform together at Worthy Farm in June.’

On Twitter, Spice Girls fan Megan said it looked like the five of them ‘really want to do Glastonbury Festival’, while Michael said people were ‘finally asking the right questions’ about a possible reunion.

The Spice Girls were originally together for just six short years between 1994 and 2000, but their impact on music and pop culture was era-defining.

A phenomenon on both sides of the Atlantic, their first single Wannabe hit number one in the UK and the US and sold more than five million copies worldwide.

Of the 10 singles they released in the UK in the 1990s and early 2000s, nine of them went to number 1. Before Geri left the group in 1998, they also scored four top 10 hits in the US.

The five of them reunited in 2007 after the release of their greatest hits but new single Headlines failed to make the UK top 10. It was another five years before the quintet lined up again.

Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C, and Geri have all been performing as the Spice Girls since 2018, but until this week it seemed Victoria didn’t fancy getting the band back together.

One wild night might have saved summer 2025.
