I love colour and thought my bold new outfit would look adorable – but everyone says it’s giving Ali G

A COLOURFUL fashionista has been compared to Ali G after revealing her outfit of the day.

Megan Welsh, from Glasgow, admits her orange tracksuit look was a “bold statement”.

Social media users say Megan’s outfit reminds them of Ali GUniversal/Everett/Shutterstock

But the 25-year-old says she loves colour so wanted to give it a go.

She said: “So I got this new tracksuit. I thought, love. I love Adidas, it’s orange and as you can tell I like colour.

“Put it on, thought bold statement, sure. I paired it with blue and orange Spezials [trainers] and a blue bag.

“Then I thought ooh, I’ve got these orange shades. Popped them on and knew I looked like someone.”

After racking her brains trying to figure out who she resembled in her tangerine outfit, hit animated flick Despicable Me finally came to her.

“Why am I actually Vector Perkins?” laughed Megan as she compared herself to the young, aspiring supervillain.

“Can I actually go out like this or are people going to think I’m a Vector Perkins tribute act?

“Why did I put that [outfit] together. Anyway, Vector Perkins at your service.”

Her short clip has since gone viral with more than 1.1 million views (@meganowelsh).

But social media users have insisted that it’s another big screen character that she reminds them of.

One said: “It’s giving Ali G for me but I actually love it and think only you could pull this off.”

A second agreed: “Not me thinking you were gonna say Ali G.”

A third chimed in: “Girl it’s either Ali G or Vector, either way love it.”

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “I was thinking Ali G haha! Still look fab.”

And even Irn Bru joined in with the comments as the fizzy drink’s team said: “Blue + orange together, we think you look phenomenal.”

Influencer Megan returned to TV screens earlier this year as reality show The Agency: Unfiltered’s second season aired on BBC Scotland.

The new series once again followed Aquarius Creative, Scotland’s largest influencer agency, its founders Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore, and their clients.

Since airing, series one and two of the show have now reached a combined total of over one million streams.

The Agency: Unfiltered’s first and second season are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
