This Morning star Ben Shephard was left red-faced after Lorraine Kelly questioned whether he was the man with ‘Britain’s biggest penis’.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 49, and his co-host Cat Deeley, 47, were introducing the plans for their ITV programme when Lorraine made the cheeky quip.

‘It’s the full package,’ they began, apparently unknowingly making the pun while they introduced the show’s guests.

‘We have the man with Britain’s biggest penis,’ Ben said, with Cat adding to Lorraine: ‘You’re welcome.’

After a smirk, Lorraine then joked: ‘Is that you?’

Ben laughed back: ‘No, not Britain’s biggest penis, the man with Britain’s biggest penis.’

‘I don’t know what to say to that and how on earth do I follow that!’ Lorraine replied.

As Cat couldn’t hold back her giggles, Ben added: ‘Be careful of what you wish for is what he says!’

During the This Morning segment, guest Matt spoke to Cat and Ben about his well-endowed ‘gift or curse’, saying he’s keen to dispel the myth that ‘bigger is better’.

Matt has a 12inch penis, which he first noticed as being far larger than average while at school, and after comparing himself to what he read about in a book his parents gave him on sex education.

‘I compared myself to the book and I was larger soft than what the book said was normal erect at that point, how do you deal with that?’ he said.

While he admitted there are aspects that are more ‘beneficial’, Matt has been left with practical difficulties, and even problems with dating.

‘It effects you in a way people don’t think about,’ he said, recalling how it hasn’t always been easy to ‘fit in’.

He went on: ‘Besides the practical issues, a lot of things people think about, “Oh it’s more virile, more manly,” these are just myths you get because the people who are more braggy about it often are people overcompensating for example or they want to promote themselves doing adult work, like that is a selling point, but it’s not in everyday life.’

Matt added that the reality of his life is difficult because people only think about his issue in the context of adult work or as ‘pub jokes’.

He’s even faced difficulties dressing, saying that his tactics are similar to tucking used in shows like Drag Race. ‘Similar tactics but at scale,’ he said.

Matt elsewhere revealed he’s been thrown out of yoga classes, because his big penis has been misconstrued.

‘I was wearing a baggy shirt, baggy shorts, but in yoga positions, people just got the wrong idea,’ he said.

‘But again you can dress normally in baggy clothing and it’s not too difficult.’

Dating is also made difficult, Matt revealed, explaining how he can’t ‘spring it on people as a surprise’ which will ‘scare people away’, but also doesn’t want to seem too ‘creepy’ by telling them earlier.

‘It is difficult to raise that without coming across as creepy,’ he said.

Matt went on: ‘They love the idea more than the practicality.’

He revealed he had previously been approached by people in the adult industry, but it’s not something he’s interested in.

In fact, one date even tried to sell images of him on OnlyFans. He revealed: ‘I have been approached by one girl who I thought was a normal date and then at the end of it she was like, “Oh yes, I want to film it for my OnlyFans.”‘

Matt has also considered surgery to reduce his penis size, but it is a £15,000 surgery and only occurs in exceptional circumstances.

He’s now raising awareness for the problem, having written a book about his own experiences.

‘I’m trying to dispel the stigma,’ he said, adding that he sees it the same as any other medical issues that aren’t sexualised, because it’s a ‘fact of life’.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
