Richard Madeley has taken a swipe at Madonna after claiming he once waited hours to interview the popstar.
The ITV presenter, 67, said the chat ultimately ‘wasn’t worth’ the six-hour wait because the Material Girl, 65, was ‘weird’.
Richard recalled his experience with the Vogue superstar on today’s Good Morning Britain after it was revealed more fans were suing Madonna after she was allegedly two hours late on a stop on her Celebration tour.
He recalled an interview with the Hung Up hitmaker ‘years ago’ with his wife Judy Finnigan, 75, remarking while raising his eyebrows: ‘And she was six hours late for the interview.’
‘It didn’t start until about one in the morning,’ Richard fumed. ‘I was so angry.’
His GMB co-presenter Susanna Reid, 53, asked: ‘Worth waiting for though?’

Richard retorted while giggling: ‘No it wasn’t, actually. She was weird.’
On Monday, it was reported that three fans had launched legal action against Madonna for being two hours late to her concert in Washington DC.
In the filing obtained by Rolling Stone, they said they felt ‘deceived’ and also claimed they ‘had to leave the concerts early prior to the concerts’ conclusion, therefore depriving each of them of the benefit of seeing the complete concert.’
A rep for Madonna declined to provide a comment for the publication. Metro.co.uk has also reached out for comment.

In January, fans Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden also launched legal action after claiming the queen of pop was more than two hours late for her set, according to documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
The pair, who had tickets to her December 13 stop, also named Live Nation and Barclays Center in the documents, and accused them of ‘unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices’ according to the outlet.
In response, Madonna’s management team and Live Nation told People Magazine in a statement: ‘Madonna’s just completed, sold out 2023 Celebration Tour in Europe received rave reviews.

‘The shows opened in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, with the exception of a technical issue December 13th during soundcheck.
‘This caused a delay that was well-documented in press reports at the time. We intend to defend this case vigorously.’
Richard isn’t the only ITV star to have taken a pop at Madge.
Last February, Lorraine said Madonna ‘didn’t really look like herself’ during her Grammys appearance.
Lorraine has also made a few digs about Madonna (Picture: ITV)
She said on her show: ‘I must admit, when I saw the photo I thought, “That looks like somebody that has maybe had some surgery to look like Madonna and it’s not gone well. What’s going on?!’
Lorraine’s swipe came not long after she compared the Like a Virgin singer to a ‘boiled egg’.
Metro.co.uk previously reached out to Live Nation and the Barclays Center for comment.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
