Hollywood actress ‘f**king hated’ 00s TV series she starred in that was global hit-Sabrina Barr-Entertainment – Metro

A Hollywood star who starred in an episode of the global 2000s TV hit Entourage has revealed that she ‘f**king hated’ the show before her role.

In 2007, Busy Philipps appeared in the 14th episode of the show’s third season, playing the role of Cheryl – a woman who meets and has a brief romance with Jerry Ferrara’s main character Turtle.

During a recent interview, the actress – whose best-known for appearing in films and TV shows including Dawson’s Creek, Freaks and Geeks, White Chicks and Cougar Town – revealed her honest thoughts on the comedy-drama.

‘Full disclosure. Like, I f**king hated that show,’ the 44-year-old said.

‘I remember, though, being sort of told, like, “This is the thing – you should do this.” Like, “You gotta do that. If you’re a hot girl, you gotta be on Entourage.”’

While speaking on the podcast Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, Busy explained that she had previously auditioned for Entourage a couple of times before bagging the role.

Even though she ‘hated’ the series, she showered her scene partner Jerry with praise for being the ‘sweetest’ and ‘so nice’ to work with.

‘I really just worked with Jerry and Kevin [Connolly]. And Jerry was the sweetest, like the nicest kid,’ she recalled.

‘I actually think that it was the first scene that they ever gave Turtle where he had a make-out scene with a girl.’

Busy continued, pointing out that her part on Entourage predated the introduction of intimacy coordinators on film and TV sets, and so she took Jerry to one side to outline ‘how this is going to work’.

‘I think it was right after Dawson’s Creek, so I had obviously done a lot of making out on the Creek. “I know how to do it Jerry! Listen, nothing to be nervous about,”’ she recollected.

‘So I remember having this whole conversation. He was so nice.’

Following Entourage, Busy went on to star in plenty more TV shows including How I Met Your Mother, Community, Arrested Development, New Girl and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

She currently stars in Gives5eva, which aired a third season in March this year on Netflix after previously airing on Paramount, which decided that the series would not be renewed on the platform after its second outing in 2022.
