Shameless star Tina Malone looks sombre in rare outing weeks after husband’s death-Asyia Iftikhar-Entertainment – Metro

Almost two months on from the shock death of her husband, Paul Chase, Tina Malone was spotted on a rare outing with her beloved dog.

The 61-year-old TV actor, best known for her roles in Shameless and Brookside, announced in March that her husband of 14 years, personal trainer Paul, had suddenly died at the age of 42.

Although she gave no cause of death she later updated supportive fans to say she was feeling ‘broken’ and ‘so bereft’.

The Liverpool-based actor looked understandably downcast on the trip outside, as she sat on a wooden bench with her fluffy dog perching their front legs on her lap, giving her a moment of comfort.

Her outing came after an X post on Wednesday in which she heartbreakingly spoke out about her husband’s death.

‘Six weeks ago today was the worst day of my entire life, my world fell apart, my hubby Paul is dead, but he lives forever in my heart,’ Tina wrote.

Friends and fans shared their condolences and own experiences of dealing with grief in the comments.

‘Sending you love Tina,’ music icon Boy George commented.

X user Lesley Wainwright added: ‘Oh sweetheart, one foot in front of the other xxx’

‘I can’t even begin to imagine what you’re going through. Sending lots of love,’ Loopy3092 wrote.

Overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, Tina responded in a sweet post earlier today.

‘THANK YOU for all your kind words and those of you sharing your own personal losses, the pain from loss and grieving is tangible, it’s how to deal with the pain and devastation xx,’ she said.

The Celebrity Big Brother star tied the knot with late husband Paul in 2010. A few years later she gave birth to their daughter Flame, now aged 11, through IVF.

Speaking about the age gap at the time of their marriage, Tina said: ‘People had plenty to say about the age difference, but at the end of the day, love is love, isn’t it?’

The pair briefly separated in 2019 due to marital troubles but reignited their romance in 2020. In their last public appearance together in August 2023 the couple seemed stronger than ever as Paul was captured carrying a beaming Tina in his arms.

Tina played Maguire matriarch Mimi in UK series Shameless and Mo McGee in long-running soap opera Brookside.

In February, Tina appeared on Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted where she opened up about her belief in the paranormal.
