Dianne Buswell has thrown her support behind her dad after he completed six months of chemotherapy.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 34, first announced her father Mark was undergoing treatment last year, breaking down in a video on social media.
At the time she explained he’d been diagnosed with a health condition and soon after began sharing updates on how he was going with her followers.
The professional dancer, who met partner Joe Sugg when they competed together on the BBC series together six years ago, has now revealed her dad has reached an important milestone.
‘To my daddy you did it 6 months later and 12 rounds done,’ she posted on Instagram alongside a series of photos and videos of him over the past few months.
‘I am so so PROUD of you it’s been a tough road, but you have always done it with a smile and a thumbs up. I know you were scared and I know it was not easy but you have done it.

‘I wish so much I could be there right now and just cuddle you. You’re my hero and you have made me realise we all have so much more strength than we think. And to my beautiful mum who has not left your side and been the best support system ever thank you.’
She added: ‘Us kids are so lucky to have you both we love you so much.’
Dianne then said it was time to book ‘that trip back to the UK’ for her parents, who had to cancel a visit from Australia after he became unwell.

The video ended with a clip of Mark ringing a bell in a hospital ward to mark the end of his treatment.
She was quickly flooded with messages of support, including from her boyfriend’s sister, Zoe Sugg, who shared a series of love hearts on the post.
Amy Dowden, who faced her own cancer treatment last year, wrote: ‘Argh I’m crying! So happy for you all! Well done Mark, you absolute hero and to my gorgeous friend Dianne I know how strong you have been and I’m so proud of you xxxxxxx Celebrations are in order and a big party when you’re in the UK xxx.’

Meanwhile Mark commented: ‘I’m so happy to have such a loving wife and loving children, my journey with cancer has been a hard one. We are looking forward to having Christmas in the UK thanks again to everyone for your messages of support, love to all.’
When sharing his health diagnosis with her followers, Dianne said there was ‘a little road ahead’ for her dad, but she believed he was ‘going to be fine’ and that the family were ‘going to get through it together’.
Although her family had plans to head to the UK for Christmas last year and watch her compete on Strictly with partner Bobby Brazier, she instead went home to Australia after the season wrapped.
Dianne had previously said it was ‘difficult’ to be so far away from home and not be able to support and help her family ‘in a time of need’.
Strictly Come Dancing is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
