After 17 years as a Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden is switching the performers out for torn lovers in a wild Netflix reality series.

That’s right, the longtime British TV personality will be mending broken hearts in a brand new reality show greenlit by Netflix, currently titled Cheaters: Unfinished Business.

The media company is well known for its wildly popular reality shows from Love is Blind to Too Hot To Handle, and as the streaming giant breaks into the UK market Amanda will be helming the ship.

‘Sometimes dreams really do come true,’ Amanda said in a press statement. ‘All my career I always wanted to host a show about love and relationships – and this is it.’

There’s no doubt the sweet new role harks back to Holden’s roots as the 53-year-old media star first burst onto the scene in 1991 after appearing as a contestant on TV series Blind Date, hosted by the late Cilla Black.

The new series will see Amanda guide ex-couples, who broke up due to cheating, through an expert-led process to see if they can face up to their mistakes and rebuild their relationship for the better, according to Deadline.

The filming is tipped to start this summer in an as of yet undisclosed location and comes from Love Island production company Lifted Entertainment, co-produced with 12 Yard.

The mum-of-two, who married her current husband Chris Hughes in 2008, is not the first UK presenter to make the leap to Netflix in recent months.

Former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby, 43, will present new series Bear Hunt, featuring Bear Grylls, with Spice Girl Mel B reported to be joining as a co-presenter in a major six-figure deal.

Elsewhere, Big Brother’s Emma Willis and Busted’s Matt Willis will soon be appearing on our screens for the inaugural Love Is Blind UK season, set to air in August 2024.

‘It’s been such a dream working together and fascinating to watch the process unfold. Experiencing this new project side by side has been really amazing, and I can’t wait for people to come on this journey with us,’ Matt said about the process.

As for Amanda, the news comes just weeks after she became embroiled in a social media feud with The X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

After Louis called out fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell on Celebrity Big Brother in March, Amanda said she ‘hated’ to see Simon dissed when he had ‘given them all the chances’.

Before long, Sharon hit back in a lengthy X post listing all her achievements that Simon was not responsible for.

When asked about Sharon’s damning response by the Daily Mail, Amanda simply remarked: ‘Oh it’s all b******s. Let’s not give oxygen to any of that.’

And with her calendar more booked and busy than ever, Amanda looks like she is ready to look firmly toward her lucrative Netflix future.
