Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ended just last month, but they are said to already be working on its replacement.

The busiest men in showbusiness, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, decided to walk away from the gig to spend more time with their families, but when they do have the room in their schedule they’ve got a name ready.

Their company Mitre Studios has filed requests to trademark the name Belta Box. For those not fluent in regional lingo – belta is a word used, mainly by northerners, to describe something positively.

In April, they asked for the phrase to be trademarked across TV, radio, magazines, books, clothing, and online.

This comes after a trademark was filed in November for Taste Mates – a digital series where they cook and eat together. Belta Box is also said to be a digitally focused project.

A TV source told The Mirror: ‘Everything Ant and Dec does turns to gold and this is sure to be another success.’

‘Taste Mates and Belta Box are digital projects that will tap into the Mitre core values of being fun and engaging,’ said Mitre Studios.

Ant and Dec, both 48, said goodbye to ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway with an emotional episode, after 20 seasons.

When announcing the show’s shock departure from the small screen, they said the show ‘takes up such a lot of our year’ and they needed a ‘little bit of a breather’. With Ant expecting his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett, it was a good time to pause.

Dec said in the final monologue: ‘When we started this back in 2002, we thought we’d be lucky if we got to do this for maybe a couple of years, so what’s happened has honestly been beyond our wildest dreams.

‘We have truly adored every second of making the show, but there’s one thing we’ve never ever forgotten, and that’s the fact it’s not our show – it’s your show.

‘So we’d like to say a massive thank you to you, our incredible audience.’

The finale saw a peak viewership of 5.3 million, with an average of 4.6 million viewers having tuned in.

Although that is now one less thing on their plate, they’ve got plenty more keeping them occupied including Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and Limitless Win.

But with the trademarks filed, does anyone fancy another one?

Metro.co.uk contacted Ant and Dec’s representatives and Mitre Studios for comment.
