Danny Trejo has opened up a taco restaurant in Notting Hill and its prices aren’t exactly cheap.
The Machete and Spy Kids actor, 79, opened his first tacos restaurant in LA eight years ago and now has seven US sites (including Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts).
But this is the first time Hollywood icon Danny has ventured out of the US with his taco empire, and he’s landed on Notting Hill soil.
Trejo’s Tacos has opened as a two-storey, 3,000-square-foot restaurant space for 70 diners to enjoy, with another 30 able to relax on the outdoor terrace.
It also has an underground speakeasy mezcal bar which promises DJs into the night. You know, just your average casual food spot.
The LA staple’s London chain offers all kinds of Mexican dishes with tacos very much at its heart, as diners can enjoy Anthony Bourdain’s favourite – steak asada tacos with pepita pesto – for £7.

Main courses begin at £18 for a, er, burrito, while desserts of churros and chocolate can be munched on for £8.50, and an array of margaritas await for around £12.
Inside the ‘surf and turf’ burrito is steak asada, spicy shrimp, rice, beans and cheese.
Speaking about the opening of the London spot earlier this month, the Spy Kids star said: ‘When we launched Trejo’s Tacos in LA, our aim was to serve a better version of Mexican food that won’t clog your arteries.
‘In Mexican cooking, recipes are handed down through generations, and that’s what inspired this whole concept: generations of my family’s recipes. We’ve taken out the stuff that isn’t healthy, without losing the great taste and flavour.

‘When it comes to restaurants, everyone asks me: what’s my secret? Restaurants usually die within their first year. We’ve opened seven in four years. People come for the food, good service, and a feeling of community.
‘People come back for the good food…and because they feel at home when they step back inside a Trejo’s Tacos. That’s all.’

Speaking to Secret London, Danny revealed he’d visited London four times before launching the restaurant.
‘I love London. I did the Muppets Most Wanted here with Ray Liotta,’ Danny said.
‘One of the reasons I fell in love with London is that the city is so eclectic, at times you still think you’re in Los Angeles.
‘Walk two blocks and you can eat at an Indian restaurant, walk three more blocks and here’s a Spanish restaurant. That’s the way LA is.’
The added that he wants people eating at Trejo’s Tacos to feel ‘at home’.
This comes as Danny appeared on Saturday Kitchen last week and naturally caused ‘absolute carnage’ while making his famous tacos.
Danny had been addressing Matt Tebbutt’s ‘mid-life crisis’ when he made a wild suggestion to the 50-year-old host.
Ahead of introducing Danny’s tacos, Matt began: ‘Before we crack on with the tacos, more importantly, let’s talk about my mid-life crisis.
‘Do you think, you of all people, do you think I need a piercing?’
‘No,’ Danny quickly replied, leaving Matt admitting he was ‘surprised’.
‘I don’t have earrings,’ Danny went on, before he advised Matt to get ‘a little tattoo’.
‘Something like this,’ he added, showing off his actually rather large chest tattoo.
‘A tattoo on the chest of Danny, that’s what you should have!’ guest presenter Olly Smith added, leaving Matt red-faced as swiftly moved on to the topic of tacos.
