Kelly Osbourne has said that she’s ‘never’ taken Ozempic, but has admitted that it can be a ‘miracle drug in the right hands.’

The FDA-approved drug, otherwise known as semaglutide, is typically used to treat Type 2 diabetes.

However, it is also known for its weight loss properties – the chief side effect being an appetite suppressant which is said to assist in losing modest amounts of weight while under the influence.

Reality TV star and daughter of Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne and music mogul Sharon Osbourne, Kelly, 39, has denied using the drug to help shed the 85 pounds she lost after birthing son Sidney in 2022.

And, while she maintains that she has never taken Ozempic herself, Kelly has again come out in its favour, describing it as ‘a miracle drug.’

‘I have to clarify, I’ve never taken Ozempic. I don’t know what Ozempic does to you other than what I saw it do to my mom,’ she revealed.

‘I think that it is the miracle drug in the right hands,’ Kelly continued, in an interview with People Magazine.

‘The pros outweigh the cons, and if you really do research, the kind of medication and what it can do for you cognitively and what it does for the rest of your body, like I said, it’s a miracle drug.

‘For some reason, society is trying to paint it out to be a bad thing. And I don’t understand why.

‘If you need to lose some weight, who cares how you do it, as long as you’re doing it in a healthy way,’ she finished.

This isn’t the first time Kelly has raved about the use of Ozempic as a weight loss tool, singing its praises earlier this year.

‘I think it’s amazing and I think it’s great for them,’ she told E! News.

‘There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that isn’t as boring as working out?

‘People hate on it because they want to do it. The people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it.

‘Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works.’

Again, Kelly spoke about the drug only in relation to mum Sharon’s usage, which caused her to lose 40lbs after a course of the injections.

‘I always wanted [weight loss] now. The injections that I was on worked and it just seems that now I can’t put anything on,’ Sharon told the Loose Women panel.

‘You go down, you put it all back on again. It’s a constant thing. I lost over 40lbs. If I could, I’d put back on 10lbs,’ she added.

The Osbourne matriarch joins a host of famous faces who have admitted to using the drug to lose weight – including Boy George and Botched Doctor Terry Dubrow.

The use of Ozempic as a weight loss tool isn’t without its controversy – leading to warnings from health professionals and a supply shortage for those medically in need.

Many have slammed Kelly’s remarks as ‘dangerous’ and ‘irresponsible,’ encouraging body image issues and hurting those truly in need.

‘Rich ppl have easy access to healthy food options, personal trainers and chefs but they choose to take ozempic that’s not meant for them and causing shortages for those who truly need them’, wrote X user TaraAngel94.

‘Shame on her. People like them are causing shortage and rising prices of Ozemic which is helping so many diabetics patients. My bf who use to get this though NHS in UK now had to get it through private sources paying 1500 pounds for few pens. People can’t afford it now’, said bucky_astir.

‘Kelly you just don’t know when to stop running your mouth…’ said MxHWsFan.
