Opting for a green dress from Boohoo, she showed what it looked like on the model on the site – and how frumpy the smock dress looked.
The Ruffle Detail Smock Dress is currently on sale for £24 and came in lots of colours but is currently only available in white after she made the dress sell out.
This is a perfect example of wearing versus styling
Opting for a bright green version in a larger size than her usual – she showed how to style it up and turn it into an expensive looking number.
The dress was first seen on the fashion influencer, Yasmin Devenport’s account, and she wowed everyone with the way she styled it.
So, the woman decided to use her video as inspiration and was thrilled by the results.
“This is a perfect example of wearing versus styling,” she said.
“The green one was a size 10 large.
“But look at what just adding a belt and two accessories, the earrings and the bag and heels can do to this dress.”
The young woman paired the bright green dress with a gold sea shell amazing bag which cost £21 and some adorable heeled sandals with shell details.
“This look is so super cute, and I’m going on a cruise in a few days, and this will be perfect,” she continued.
Gold accessories added the perfect finishing touchTikTok/@qtepiee88
“Best example of wearing vs styling. Transformed this oversized dress with just 3 items,” she captioned the now viral video.
She used the slim gold belt to tie around her waist, pulling the top of the dress over to cover the belt and create a chic silhouette where the ruffles on the skirt gave a more curvy appearance to her body.
The gold accessories finished the look making it look way more expensive.
The clip posted to her TikTok account @qtepiee88 has since gone viral with over 700k views and 60k likes.
