Emily Blunt wanted to ‘throw up’ after kissing certain actors in her movies-Tori Brazier-Entertainment – Metro
The actress said it wasn’t ‘extreme loathing’, but she ‘hadn’t enjoyed some of it’.

Emily Blunt has candidly revealed that kissing some of her past co-stars for movies has made her rather nauseous.
The Quiet Place actress, 41, has locked lips with many leading men over her successful career so far, including the likes of Matt Damon in The Adjustment Bureau, Jamie Dornan for Wild Mountain Thyme, Cillian Murphy in the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer and Ryan Gosling in their latest film, The Fall Guy.
However, although she has firm friendships with many of her peers in Hollywood, while discussing chemistry she revealed it was something she had learned to force if necessary.
She has also found it with co-stars she didn’t like.
Although Blunt would not be drawn on naming anyone, she shared: ‘I have had chemistry with people who… I have not had a good time working with them.’
When host Howard Stern asked her on his Sirius 100 XM radio show last week if she’d ever ‘wanted to throw up’ after kissing an actor, she candidly responded: ‘Absolutely, absolutely.’

‘I wouldn’t say it’s sort of extreme loathing, but I have definitely not enjoyed some of it,’ she added.
The actress later confirmed she had enjoyed working with Dwayne Johnson on The Jungle Cruise, with the pair set to work together again on UFC biopic The Smashing Machine, as well as Murphy, Damon, Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise, who was her leading man in 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow.
Gosling was also praised too as Blunt took a moment to share how much she loved him and his family, describing herself as ‘very lucky to be friends with a gem of a person like him’.
Discussing the nebulous nature of chemistry further, she called it a ‘strange thing’ as sometimes you can have a real-life ‘rapport that’s really effortless, but it doesn’t translate on screen’.
‘It’s an ethereal thing that you can’t really bottle up and buy or sell. It’s like there or it’s not. And you can manufacture it,’ she continued.

‘I’ve been doing this long enough. I could have chemistry with this water bottle at this point. You know how to conjure it. But it’s just easier when you have a natural rapport with someone.’
Blunt explained that when forced to fake her own chemistry with a castmate she will ‘find something I love’ about them – even if it’s just one thing.
‘It might be that they have a nice laugh or I like how they speak to people. They’re polite. I mean, it might be something random,’ she admitted.
‘But find something you love about that person or something you love about them as the character and then kind of lean into that.’

Her confession comes hot on the heels of Anne Hathaway recalling the ‘gross’ audition process she was once put through in the 2000s, when she was asked to kiss 10 different men during chemistry tests casting was confirmed for their parts.
‘I was told, “We have 10 guys coming today and you’re cast. Aren’t you excited to make out with all of them?” And I thought, “Is there something wrong with me?” because I wasn’t excited. I thought it sounded gross,’ she revealed to V Magazine.
‘And I was so young and terribly aware how easy it was to lose everything by being labelled “difficult”, so I just pretended I was excited and got on with it. It wasn’t a power play, no one was trying to be awful or hurt me.’
The Idea of You star then reflected on it being ‘a very different time and now we know better’.

Another of Blunt’s former co-stars Rebecca Ferguson also ruffled Hollywood feathers recently when she shared her experience of a ‘screaming’ co-star’s poor behaviour towards her on set, and how she felt she wasn’t supported because they were the bigger name.
After the clip went viral, Mission: Impossible actress Ferguson revealed that she’d had many colleagues call her after her comments, concerned by the possible fallout.
It’s not seen her lose any sleep over it though.
‘I mean, it’s not my responsibility, to be honest, I don’t really care. “You’re great,” but my story’s my story and if you’re a good person, then don’t worry about it,’ she told The Jess Cagle Show earlier this month.
