Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Cage is allegedly under investigation by police after ‘attacking’ his mother Christina Fulton.

National Treasure actor Nicolas, 60, welcomed Weston in 1990 with then-girlfriend Fulton, 56.

Weston, 33, has reportedly been named as a suspect in a battery report involving Fulton, according to TMZ.

According to reports, a verbal dispute between the mother and son turned into a physical altercation on April 28 in the Los Angeles area.

An ambulance was reportedly called to the home, but no one was taken to hospital. TMZ additionally says Fulton was ‘called to help her son as he was dealing with an emotional moment, and she came to console him’, according to an insider.

The source went on to claim that Fulton denies an argument between herself and Weston and has asked for privacy.

In pictures obtained by the publication, the Lucinda’s Drive actress can be seen sporting a black eye as she met a friend in days following the alleged incident.

Police sources claimed the incident is now being investigated as a possible felony battery, and that no arrests have been made at present.

Weston was previously hospitalised and put on a psychiatric hold in 2011 following a violent incident in Los Angeles.

Speaking at the time, Fulton blamed Nicolas for their son’s mental health problems, telling Inside Edition: ‘Nicolas Cage has damaged and interfered and done something absolutely horrific, and I need to just go get my son.

‘I am the one that raised Weston. I am the one that took care of Weston. His dad was very busy out working as an actor.’

Before his release, Fulton asked a doctor to recommend he stayed at the mental health centre for a further two weeks, to which Weston released a statement saying he didn’t want his mother to be involved in his care.

He said: ‘I am an adult. I don’t want to have anything to do with my mother. Any problems that I have ever had is because of the relationship that I had with my mother.’

The musician went on to file a restraining order against Fulton in 2020, but the case was dismissed after Weston failed to appear in court.

Fulton and Weston recently launched a joint lawsuit against Weston’s estranged wife Hila Arounian for allegedly embezzling $100,000 and filing a ‘fraudulent restraining order’ to prevent Fulton and Nicolas from meeting Weston’s twin four-year-old daughters, Cyress and Venice.

Fulton told The Sun: ‘She [Arounian] has created a hostile narrative and environment that makes it impossible for the family to see or have a relationship with the children both privately and publicly,’ she explained.

‘It is devastating not to see these kids. Nicolas and I haven’t been able to meet our two beautiful little granddaughters at all since they were born. We’re in a quiet, horrible nightmare. It’s insane, painful, hurtful, devastating.’

Weston is also father to sons Lucian, nine and Sorin, seven, whom he shares with ex-wife Danielle.
