The East Kilbride store employees even said they’re in their “preppy girl era” thanks to the new arrivals.
They added: “Run, don’t walk to get your hands on the cutest co-ords for spring/summer!”
The co-ord is available in black or a cream checkered pattern.
The textured pleated skirt is priced at £8 while the matching short sleeved cropped shirt is £6 – making the outfit a bargain at just £14.
You can bring the cost down even more by pairing the skirt with the ruched textured cami top instead, which costs a fiver.
Primark bosses say the lightweight co-ord delivers a “slightly preppy, collegiate look” and is “made for sunny skies”.
They added: “Achieve easy and understated style with this co-ord.
“This casual piece is cut from a subtly textured stretch-infused material that boasts a slim-fit silhouette.
“Adding this textured [co-ord] to your rotation of upcoming looks is, quite frankly, a bit of a no-brainer.”
If this has inspired you to head to Primark sometime soon, there’s another co-ord in store that’s been hailed “fantastic for summer”.
Shoppers are already loving the matching Relaxed Waistcoat and Pleat Front Bermuda Shorts for £18 a pop – making the full co-ord just £36.
And you’re guaranteed to get your money’s worth as the set can be dressed down with trainers or dressed up with sandals.
You’ll also be happy to hear that the bargain store is making a big change to the price of hundreds of items nationwide.
It’s the second year in a row the budget chain has cut prices on its kids essentials.
Primark bosses say the move aims to help families “make their money go further” as they start planning their summer wardrobes.
And check out the new Shrek range, which has been hailed as the “perfect blend of comfort and nostalgia”, while you’re there.
Primark’s ‘perfect formula for online shopping’
FASHION powerhouse Primark says it has the winning formula for online shopping — as it continues to shun home deliveries.
The low-cost retailer yesterday said it would expand its click and collect service across its 184 UK stores, and include menswear and homewares.
But its boss said there is “no evidence we are losing shoppers because we don’t deliver to home”.
George Weston, chief executive of Primark’s owner Associated British Foods, said “click and collect works very well”.
Asked if he would offer home deliveries, he added: “No, no, it’s a completely different business, requiring different skills.”
By forcing shoppers to come to its shops to pick up online orders, Primark is also not wasting its investment in its stores.
Mr Weston revealed that 40 to 60 per cent of online shoppers make a second, bigger purchase when picking up their online shop.
